My Review
I am starting

I read

I had planned to read the series in order and Heaven's Prisoners would have been next but I had a hold request on for this book and it was available. It is only one of two books in Kindle format available at my library.

This is the fourth book in the Jack Reacher series. I have read most of the books in the series but have not had a chance to read this one until now.

My Review
I am currently reading

This is the third book in the Dave Robicheaux series

This has been on my TBR shelf for a while now. I have seen good reviews on this as well as the two sequels.

By the way, in case I hadn't said so, I finished this book. It was awesome!

I am waiting for a book at my local library to become available and while waiting decided to reread this. On occasion I enjoying going back and reading Nero Wolfe books. I think I have read most, if not all, over the years.

I saw a lot of good reviews. First time reading anything by this author.

I had too much going on to join in the group read this month, but I'm hoping to join in October. :)

I'm also nearly finished The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes- Highly recommended, especially if you watch the films as well (starring Jeremy Brett) Really great classic reads. They are short stories so would be good for a holiday read. Full of Escapades and danger, twists and turns.
Have a good holiday Lauren! And Happy Reading!

I'm currently reading ABC Murders- I'm on the very final chapters!!!
Like always, a brilliant read!
Although I'm kinda having a year of Christie, where I aim to read at least all the Poirot series, I'm always interested in new authors. I'm so used to Christie and her standard of writing but I'd love to discover new books- which would you guys recommend for a fan of Christie. I preferably prefer Murder Mysteries, Cosy Mysteries, etc.
Would love to hear what you'd suggest:) Thanks

Hi Catherine! Thanks for the recommendation! Will certainly check those out! :)

I'm currently reading a 'cosy mystery' called The Lake District Murder by Jon Bude (pseudonym of Ernest Elmore) It's part of the British Crime Classics Series. An interesting classic mystery set in the stunning surroundings of a small cosy village in the Lake District.
A good no-nosense classic old-fashioned charming novel written in the 1930's and has recently been republished. Never heard of the author until now but I'm liking his style and I think he deserves to be better known. This novel is a real hidden gem!
If your a fan of classics, the countryside, cosy mysteries and Agatha Christie, I would recommend this book to you. Will be looking out for the others in the series soon!
Happy Reading Everyone! :)

Would anyone recommend the book- Into The Water by Pula Hawkins?? I have seen it advertised a lot lately, as its just been released, however, there have been mixed reviews on it and plus its a psychological thriller, which I'm not sure whether I would like or not. Being a fan of murder mysteries and Christie would anyone recommend this book to me?? I quite like the sound of it but would love a second opinion. As long as its not too scary or anything I think I would enjoy it but would be interested to hear your thoughts on it!
Thanks! :)

Hi Catherine!
Thanks for leaving your thoughts on the book, It's always great to have a second opinion! What about her other book- The Girl On the Train?? Would you recommend it or not? Also, I'm currently looking for some new authors to try in the murder mystery/crime etc. genre- do you have any recommendations? Would be much appreciated, thanks:)

Have you read any of Ruth Ware's books? I guess she's only written two so far but both were very good. I also really liked The Widow by Fiona Barton, Under the Harrow by Flynn Berry and You Will Know Me by Megan Abbott.

Hi there; yes I read Bude's "The Cornish Coast Murder" for a Crimes & Thrillers group I attend and really enjoyed it. The British Library are on to a winner republishing these old classics.
