Need to separate editions

There can be some differences between a first and second edition of a book (and have them still combined), they just cannot be substantially different. It sounds to me like they are more correctly kept combined.
As for the covers, we do not replace cover art that is published. It affects every user who shelved that edition. Instead we make alternate cover editions. That seems to be already handled, so you can set the new editions as primary (what comes up in searches), but following the steps outlined in the link below:

You're welcome.
The reason you cannot set that as the default edition is because only the author, using the author account, can set an edition as the primary (well, except for Goodreads employees). Since you have not taken control of the Sophie Lace author account, you can't currently set default editions for works under that name.
If you want to claim a second author profile, you will need a second Goodreads account, with a different email address than the one you have already.
Otherwise, the first edition for Disappear, Love should have the cover replaced with the new edition since the old edition can no longer be purchased. The same goes for The Sapphire Chronicles, an old obsolete cover is being used. It can no longer be purchased so can the correct cover represent the books? Thanks.
