1) Monument Street. It's Monument Avenue, the most famous collection of second place trophies in the world. No one who has actually been to Richmond could get that wrong.
2) He has the local detective arriving at the Poe Museum at 7:30 AM after listening to Beethoven on 'a classical music station.' Richmond does not and has not ever had a 'classical music station.' We do have 1 public radio station that plays classical at times, but at that hour it always has NPR news broadcasts.
3) He calls Windsor Farms 'a wealthy suburb'. It is very much where Old Richmond money lives and is well inside the city limits.
4)He describes the VCU substation as where the murder squad has its offices. Nope, downtown.
5) The detective carries an iphone from work. Nope, all Richmond area public safety folks carried Blackberries in 2010. And most still do, because the FBI provides funds and phones for certain programs.
So how can I believe all the stuff he writes about Trondheim in 2010 as well as 16th Century events?
