Marisa - there is a text to speech function built into word already- took me a while to find it. But as you say its a fantastic way to spot mistakes that the brain fills in.

You end up with a little toggle switch at the top of word. You then highlight the parts of the passage and it reads them to you. The standard voice is not too bad ( and I have gotten used to it) but you can I believe download others.

I just found it easier as I write in word, so can read along and edit in the same window.

No unfortunately as far as I can tell it will only read a certain amount. I find though that I can normally highlight enough to edit a good chunk, as I quite often end up stopping and starting anyhow.

Good point... I guess it does allow for stopping points to edit or stop and restart if needed.

Marisa - I think the voice sounds just a tad better than the one in Adobe. But like I said, the only problem is you have to highlight what you want it to read. It is beneficial in some ways, but then a hindrance in others.

Yep, better than using Adobe. I don't like the man voice, only because my MC is female and I can't figure out how to change it like I can in Adobe. The ease of not having to flip back and forth between programs is a huge plus! I'm going to have to make another video on how to use this tool now LOL Thank you for posting F.W.

We need a writing software to tag dialogue and read it in different male and female voices. Wouldn't that be awesome? Next to impossible, maybe, but pretty great!

I've actually tried out Word, but I've had trouble getting it to read every line. It doesn't seem to like dialogue or "fancy" grammar. Has anyone else had this problem with Word?

No A.C. I haven't. It doesn't always say certain words correctly but you get used to it after a few Chapters.
