Good thing you can handle that:)

I can understand where Camyrn is coming from. She has had her share of bad/tragic experiences. I think a lot of people would have a hard time moving past that. WTH! Natalie chooses to not believe Camyrn because she is blinded by her "love" for Damon. I think if a honest, trust-worthy, long time friend tells me my boyfriend attacked them or cheated on me, I would believe them and confront my boyfriend about what happened. Da mon went crazy.
Camyrn has way more guts than me. I would never travel to an unknown destination by myself. I like Andrew.

I like Camryn. I would never be brave enough to jump on a bus and ride to the unknown either. I agree with Rebecca about the earbud thing :)
The only thing I don't like...I hate it in books when you get multiple POVs and they rehash the same stuff...same conversations. It's super annoying. I do like having Andrew' point of view, but the author needs to get more creative. I've read it all once, why would I want to read it again?

As for Natalie's reaction... Well, I would've bet on that one with my eyes closed. It seems it's always the same thing. If you don't tell, you're blamed for not warning the person once crap hits the fan; and if you tell, you're the slut while the man just can't be at fault, of course no he can't. *rolls eyes*
I don't have much to say about today section. I like Andrew and Camryn together. Going to see his dad would have been awkward. And no more rehashing conversations during POV changes :)
I was wondering when they were taking showers. Being on a bus for days without one would be gross!

I hadn't even paid attention to that, but you're right. I had thought it was strange she called the hotel lady a slut because she was looking at Andrew...

Yep, that was when it really struck me. And then I thought back about it, and the rest hit home as well. It was rather weird.
I tried to post comment and of course it didn't save. I hate when that happens.
I saw what y'all were talking about with the slut shamming. I think Camyrn believes she is superior to the people in her home town. She has a preconceived notion what a slut is and applies that to everyone who she thinks fits that definition. She sees herself as an adventurer. Wanting to backpack in Europe. She instead toook a bus trip by herself to an unknown destination and found herself in a very dangerous situation. Exactly why I wouldn't take a trip on the bus by myself. Andrew to the rescue.
I loved the scene in the pharmacy. That was funny. I like Camyrn and Andrew together. He is getting her to open up. It was steamy today.
WTH! What was up with Camyrn's mom answering the phone when she was obvisiosly occupied with her man?

Lol, lots of 'slut' talk in today's reading. I like how their relationship has been slow building rather than just jumping into it.
Leigh I was thinking the same thing about the mom on the phone! A little TMI from mother to daughter :)
I like Andrew and Cam together, but I'm not liking the book as much as I thought I would. I don't hate it, but it's been dragging for me. I'm really getting tired of sitting in the car discussing pop vs. classic rock. I need to get out and stretch my legs. I hope it picks up tomorrow and Friday.
P.S. What 20-year-olds have enough money just to fall off the face of the earth and not have to worry about anything?

Sheri, I was thinking the same thing about the endless money. Cam didn't have a job until her mom got her one. The only thing I can thing of is daddy's money that she put away for this type of trip.

Good point Leigh. If she had been planning a trip in high school she might have had some saved...
Yzabel, I had been thinking the same thing about double standards. Whenever they are talking about the 'slut' Andrew always says "she"...like guys who do the same thing don't count.

Sheri, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thought that. I always have the feeling that I never "get it" when it comes to romance stories--that everybody but me sees some beauty there, and that I'm the only one who can't sense and appreciate it. Double standards tend to be part of those things that make me overlook the "love is beautiful" part, to take me straight to "yeah, right, you're an ass" territory. ^^;
To be fair, I've known such people IRL, too. People who think that when a guy has many one-night stands, it means he's "virile" and "a seducer"; but when a girl does that, she's immediately labelled a slut, an "easy one who spreads her legs for anyone", and other derogatory terms. There's still such a long way to go for us, huh?
That is the standard double standard. Guys can sleep with as many women as they want and they are studs. Women on the other hand are considered sluts. I hate that!
I like Andrew. I might even say he is a saint after today's reading. Lol

Lol, the one and only time I've ever been drunk (never have been much of a drinker) my husband held my hair back while I was puking. That was when we were dating of course...and he wasn't actually cleaning it up off the floor. That might be different. Now after almost 15 years (in April!) of marriage there's no way. We actually had a fight the other day because I didn't feel good and was trying to take a nap, and he was watching football or something and wouldn't get up to help the kids get lunch so they kept coming and waking me up!

I haven't read all of today's yet. I'm thinking Alyssia got bogged down with her first week back to teaching.
Where are you in the reading Rebecca?

I totally agree! I feel like I have known Sheri forever. Great buddy read partner.

I am almost finished. I am torn on how I feel about this book. I don't love it but don't hate it either.
OMG! I loved the (view spoiler) LOL

The last part of this book tore my heart out then gave it back to me. I know now I have to read the next book.
Even though I knew the story was heading in a certain direction, I still fell hard.

The lines in this book have made giggle ALOT.
Rebecca, where are you in the book? I don't have the second book yet. I would be up to doing a buddy read.
Finished. I liked it, but not enough to want to read more. I'll skip the second book. Though it did pick up more after New Orleans, it never really picked up to where I loved it.
I'll post the link to my review once it's written :)

I am up for either of the above books. But life is really busy, so I can't promise not to fall behind. I'm trying to get used to my new schedule.
Oh, Sheri - I did finish Room. Sometime I'll let you know my thoughts, if you're still interested. :D
Leigh, are you back-back?

I gave it 5 stars. I read the bonus which was kind of word for word POV I felt the same about Walking Disaster.
I will read the next book.
I'm still in the sling but I will start posting again. I'm ready to get back to normal so I am taking this first step. Alyssia, I hope that it gets better soon. Enjoy the fondue!
You can pick one then Alyssia. Leigh and I chose this one. I do want to hear our thoughts on Room, too :)
Well, I want to keep going with the Psy series, but I know there were quite a few people who wanted to read Freak, so we might have more participation with that...which would be fun. Plus i have it from NG so I have to read it anyway. So...
