Camyrn has way more guts than me. I would never travel to an unknown destination by myself. I like Andrew.
The earbud part cracked me up. I immediately thought gross too. I thought that Damon was the one that she was going to see on the bus. I was relieved. I thought the same about Nat. I love how Andrew talks about his dad.

The only thing I don't like...I hate it in books when you get multiple POVs and they rehash the same stuff...same conversations. It's super annoying. I do like having Andrew' point of view, but the author needs to get more creative. I've read it all once, why would I want to read it again?
I agree on the change of POV part. Seeing things from Andrew's perspective (view spoiler) is interesting, but for the moment it tends to rehash what we already know through Camryn.As for Natalie's reaction... Well, I would've bet on that one with my eyes closed. It seems it's always the same thing. If you don't tell, you're blamed for not warning the person once crap hits the fan; and if you tell, you're the slut while the man just can't be at fault, of course no he can't. *rolls eyes*

I was wondering when they were taking showers. Being on a bus for days without one would be gross!
So I read today's chapters, and while I hadn't paid too much attention at first... Slut shaming, anyone? I mean, Natalie's a slut. The red-haired girl's a slut because Cam's ex cheated on her with that girl. The girls who look at Andrew because he's hot are sluts. (I can't remember which chapter it's in, but there was that single-word paragraph: "Slut." Like a first in your face. Judgmental, much? Because Cam's sure not shy of ogling, too.) Camryn's mom is presented as a giggling slut who doesn't do anything else than being interested in her man. I'm starting to wonder if there's any normal, regular woman in here? Or if they're here, but so distorted through the self-righteousness lens that they all appear as "sluts" anyway?

I saw what y'all were talking about with the slut shamming. I think Camyrn believes she is superior to the people in her home town. She has a preconceived notion what a slut is and applies that to everyone who she thinks fits that definition. She sees herself as an adventurer. Wanting to backpack in Europe. She instead toook a bus trip by herself to an unknown destination and found herself in a very dangerous situation. Exactly why I wouldn't take a trip on the bus by myself. Andrew to the rescue.
I loved the scene in the pharmacy. That was funny. I like Camyrn and Andrew together. He is getting her to open up. It was steamy today.
WTH! What was up with Camyrn's mom answering the phone when she was obvisiosly occupied with her man?

I like Andrew and Cam together, but I'm not liking the book as much as I thought I would. I don't hate it, but it's been dragging for me. I'm really getting tired of sitting in the car discussing pop vs. classic rock. I need to get out and stretch my legs. I hope it picks up tomorrow and Friday.
P.S. What 20-year-olds have enough money just to fall off the face of the earth and not have to worry about anything?

I liked it enough in the very beginning, but it's been dragging for me as well. And I just can't wrap my mind about the whole "slutty" thing. I'm starting to wonder that it's the author who really has a problem with that. Also, double-standards, which tend to annoy me to no end. Andrew seemed to be a nice guy at first, but in fact, he's just the same as any other asshole regarding certain matters.

Yzabel, I had been thinking the same thing about double standards. Whenever they are talking about the 'slut' Andrew always says "she"...like guys who do the same thing don't count.
Oh yes, and I agree with the money part. I think it was kind of implied that it was her father's money, but things aren't too clear in that regard. Her mother insisting on her getting a job so fast doesn't fit too well with the idea that they're pretty wealthy. A couple of lines to explain where it comes from would've been appreciated. (Minor quibble, though.)Sheri, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thought that. I always have the feeling that I never "get it" when it comes to romance stories--that everybody but me sees some beauty there, and that I'm the only one who can't sense and appreciate it. Double standards tend to be part of those things that make me overlook the "love is beautiful" part, to take me straight to "yeah, right, you're an ass" territory. ^^;
To be fair, I've known such people IRL, too. People who think that when a guy has many one-night stands, it means he's "virile" and "a seducer"; but when a girl does that, she's immediately labelled a slut, an "easy one who spreads her legs for anyone", and other derogatory terms. There's still such a long way to go for us, huh?

Lol, the one and only time I've ever been drunk (never have been much of a drinker) my husband held my hair back while I was puking. That was when we were dating of course...and he wasn't actually cleaning it up off the floor. That might be different. Now after almost 15 years (in April!) of marriage there's no way. We actually had a fight the other day because I didn't feel good and was trying to take a nap, and he was watching football or something and wouldn't get up to help the kids get lunch so they kept coming and waking me up!

I am on chapter 13 but am behind too. I can easily catch up tonight. I really like the story. I haven't had it slow down for me yet. I guess I liked the second section 8-18. I am glad she was saved from creepy guy by Andrew. I loved the hand holding along the way. I haven't see many New Adult with a lot of that. I am where she is visiting with him and his dad and his bothers and him are having some ruffles. I can let you know where I am tonight.

I didn't read last night. I ended up watching Idol. I started this morning and I can see now where the road trip is getting somewhat boring. I am starting chapter 21. Cam just had an incredible release. :)

I didn't read this. But I did survive the week. And Gwenn and I are getting together for fondue tomorrow, which cures pretty much all ills.I am up for either of the above books. But life is really busy, so I can't promise not to fall behind. I'm trying to get used to my new schedule.

I finished this morning. I really enjoyed the book and story. I guess I could relate to Cam and her insecurities myself.I gave it 5 stars. I read the bonus which was kind of word for word POV I felt the same about Walking Disaster.
I will read the next book.
