Tracy | 6 comments Hi! I just joined the group. I'm a tap dancer and choreographer, living in Dallas, Texas. Counteract, the first volume in my YA dystopian The Resistance Series, was released on August 6. Resist, the second volume in the series, is in revisions now, and I'm also working on the first draft of the third book.

Counteract is the story of a guy, a girl, the terrorist attack that brings them together, and their race to expose a conspiracy that could destroy their country.

"Lawson's fast-paced narrative, well-defined characters, and spine-tingling plot combine for a perfectly paced ride through a world in which rugged individualism, free will, and individual liberty have been all but eradicated by central authorities wielding an agenda of control. And what better way to control the masses than through the installation of irrational fear of an undefined, unseen external enemy?"

I love to read dystopian fiction, and I joined the group to get to know others who share that interest. Look for me on the discussion boards!

So am I! I am bipolar and was undiagnosed until last September. I have trouble being around people because I am also overweight and so self-conscious. We are working on getting me back to functioning at a normal level, but that takes time. Do you have pets or a family that fills your time? I have 5 cats, a dog a mom and a grandma around.

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) I'm a photographer for a tiny little newspaper called the Courier-Wedge (I know, weird name!) and I write stories as well. I'm also finishing up my last year of being homeschooled, and I'm looking to pursue writing as a full-time career once I graduate :)
