Jon Dailey | 1 comments I'm new to the group. Is anyone using a nook? I know you can borrow books from other nook users.
thanks - Jon

Nicole | 66 comments I use a Nook Simple Touch & I actually get all my books free from the Barns & Noble site. If you go to the Nook Books area & search zombies then change the list criteria to price from lowest to highest there are pages & page of FREE titles & some are really great & some are not!

Grep | 3 comments So, how are NOOK users able to share books? I have over 100 and counting - probably closer to 200.

Kristin,
How do you get your Amazon bought books onto your Nook? I have about 100 books from Amazon in the Kindle Cloud but I don't have a Kindle & I don't want to be stuck readingoff my laptop? Any help on how to get those books or even just future purchases from Amazon onto the Nook would be so so so super appreciated!
Thanks

I just downloaded the Kindle app from Google play and it imports them all :) You can also buy books through the App as well.

YOu can share books with your special NOOK friends. I have done it, works great. But the books must be marked as Lend me for them to be borrowed. YOu also have something like a 2 week period that you can read the book. ANd thanks Kristin for the Kindle app mention. Gonna try that!!

Lana (pushindazees) I have a Nook Color...actually two of them, because I loved it so much that I bought one for downstairs and upstairs :) I was so bummed when they discontinued the Nook Color and it seems like so many of the indie authors now don't want to bother with formatting for Smashwords so that it can be offered through B&N. I do have a Kindle e-Ink but I prefer the backlit Nook Color for night reading especially, and I also prefer the touchscreen page turning, but mostly I love the ability to create shelves and organize my books on the Nook Color which you can't do on the Kindle. I've never loaned books on my Nook but I think you have to be designated as a "friend".

Nicole | 66 comments Well Kristin, I am tech disabled & could not figure that whole Google Play thing out, I did find something called Calibre but still can't figure out how to get the books off the Cloud & into Calibre for conversion to Nook. Anyone else out there using Calibre?

Netanella | 2108 comments I have Calibre and love it!

Chino | 4 comments Nicole, there is a plugin for Calibre that is supposed to remove DRM from your Kindle books, that will allow you to convert Mobi format to Epub format for your Nook. I haven't got around to trying it yet. I use Calibre all the time, great program. It will convert virtually any book to any format you want, as long as it doesn't have the Mobi DRM lock. Good luck.
