Remember little, a child or pair of children found a unicorn and where hiding it in a stable, and an adult? came and they were scared this person would see the unicorn, but all the person could see was a brown horse. Read in 1993.

No, that's not it. It was a chapter book from what I remember. I definitely read it in 3rd grade, so it has to be before late 1993 or early 1994.
