Yea I'm wondering how Em and Hunters story is going to go. What with what happened in book 2 but I sure they give us those deets as well. Also 5 yr time jump in the epilogue boo. Lol.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments Yea I think TMI is a DNF maybe I'll get into it again, but doubtful. I think I got to middle of book 4.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments It's weird, I'm sorta on a contemp romance roll, and so far I don't feel like I have to go back to PNR or UF just yet. So weird, since I typically prefer the paranormal over the normal. Anyways I'm thinking about going for Rock Chick Rescue (Rock Chick, #2) by Kristen Ashley I think this is book 2. Or maybe I'll pick something else, idk what I want ugh.

Ekaterine (thegoddess) | 478 comments I didn't get much of a reading time last couple of weeks. My grandpa had a heart attack and it's been taugh. But I managed to read The Moon Dwellers (The Dwellers, #1) by David Estes , started out slow but it got better. Also finished Sixth Grave on the Edge (Charley Davidson, #6) by Darynda Jones OMG loved it. Charley is the best! Also read The Release (Virulent, #1) by Shelbi Wescott and really enjoyed it.

Have you read Poison Princess (The Arcana Chronicles, #1) by Kresley Cole ? Or Ruby Red (Precious Stone Trilogy, #1) by Kerstin Gier ? I recently read and enjoyed both. The first is more of a Dystopian and Jack is definitely badass.

Oh my Nicole, you have some awesome ones there! no wonder you're having a hard time choosing LOL! I read all of these except for Alice in Zombieland as zombie stories are not my thing. But I LOVED Throne of Glass, LOVED Daughter of Smoke and Bone, really liked The Iron Fey series, and The Raven Boys is wonderful as well. You honestly can't go wrong with any of these as they're all awesome reads. However, my favorites from this bunch are Throne of Glass & Daughter of Smoke and Bone :)

The Lost Prince (The Iron Fey Call of the Forgotten, #1) by Julie Kagawa - The Iron Fey spin-off series has a male protag and does not feature as much romance as the original series. It focuses more on Ethan's relationship with his nephew, but there is still some romance.

Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna, #1) by Kendare Blake - Cool male protag, not much romance. I havent read the sequel so I cant vouch for it.

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan - Self explanatory. :P

Charming (Pax Arcana, #1) by Elliott James - Features a present day knight. Seriously kick-ass. Its adult but clean, although maybe a tad violent. Only book 1 is out so far.

The Vicious Deep (The Vicious Deep #1) by Zoraida Córdova - About a merman prince. He's a cocky teen, hardly any romance, mostly adventure.

Finished listening to I've Got You Under My Skin by Mary Higgins Clark and started Leaving Paradise (Leaving Paradise, #1) by Simone Elkeles and If I Should Die (Revenants, #3) by Amy Plum

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments Finished Hell's Knights (The MC Sinners, #1) by Bella Jewel it was good, but I felt the romance was very fast and didn't seem explained so well. So I felt it sort of....unnatural I guess.

Please let me know what you think of it when you're done reading it :) and I need to get back to The Revenants trilogy too. Read the first book and enjoyed it but never read the other 2. I just chanced upon Leaving Paradise when browsing the library. I am listening to it right now and I have to say it's pretty good. I am enjoying If I Should Die also but I didn't like the second one as much. So if you don't like the second one either don't worry because the third gets better but you have to read 2 so you know what is going on.

Struggling to keep up with reading these days, but I finished another one that was pretty good. Honor Reclaimed (HORNET, #2) by Tonya Burrows was a really gritty, hard, but realistic look at what the armed forces go through with a love story weaved in. Not at all what I expected as far as how much detail was put into making you feel like you are right there experiencing the violence, it was really well-written.

Next up is Where There's Smoke by Elizabeth Lee , The Gift by Karli Perrin , and The Crescendo (A Musical Interlude, #2) by KaSonndra Leigh which I was supposed to get reviewed before release but just didn't happen. =/

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments Erin wrote: "Danielle wrote: "Yea I think TMI is a DNF maybe I'll get into it again, but doubtful. I think I got to middle of book 4."

My main problem with it is the pov change, I think it's third person. Book one mainly focused on Clary, but as we went on we got everyone else's pov weaved in and it drove me nuts, because we'd finally get to a good part about Clary, and then it's like a tbc in a tv show. It'd cut away from Clary and the answers and go to say Simon and what's going on with him and I'm screaming in my head like NOOOO I DONT CARE WHATS GOING ON WTH SIMON RIGHT NOW I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED WITH CLARY. So after 3.5 books of this I got fed up. Not my style. It was too much. I wanted the answers to what was happening with clary so much that I couldn't focus on the subplots of the other POVs.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments So I have Jet (Marked Men, #2) by Jay Crownover that I decided to do. Might as well right this contemp romance bug out since it's so not my go to.

I am in a book slump. Read The false prince and it has potential but i was not impressed.

Read Legend (Legend, #1) by Marie Lu and it was not awful but not great. It's better than divergent.

Incredibly forced romance, one dimensional characters who basically sound the same, predictable plot and more.

But i give it a 3 star. I need something good because i am disappointed with stuff i've read
