UGH! That's awful! I HATE stories with characters like that. With no real emotional development. That's the same I felt about Falling Into You (Falling, #1) by Jasinda Wilder the main character did the exact same crap. One minute she's like "Oh my world has ended! Why, why, why!!" And 1 second later, she's having tingles and hot feelings for someone else!?! Really?!? I can't. Nope. Just NO!

lol exactly. If you're in love with someone, show me why this person has pulled such a strong emotion from you.

Let me know how you like A Hidden Fire (Elemental Mysteries, #1) by Elizabeth Hunter . I have it, but haven't started it yet. I'm thinking of starting her contemporary The Genius and the Muse by Elizabeth Hunter first. Give PNR a break for a minute.

Omgoodness Bridget. I'm only 20% through & hooked. I know Belkis said the beginning is slow, but it's really not. World building is fantastic. I'm really liking it. Let me know how you like The Genius and the Muse by Elizabeth Hunter

Yay! Yay! YAY! I loved every single second of them (all of the books) but I thought it was my bias since many readers thought the beginning a bit slow so I always warn just in case. I'm so happy you're enjoying it Donna. This is another addicting series by EH.

I really liked the first book, but this second book has taken a completely different turn. UGH! So sad. Seriously disappointed with this one.

Oh!! FIY frustrated the hell out of me too! After the bomb-dropping opening, it was like the book became something completely different with personality changes and all. Very strange, and it just didn't flow.

I finished Night Child (Night, #3) by Lisa Kessler and really wasn't impressed, unfortunately. Not sure what it was, but I just wasn't feeling this one.

Wrapping up Last Second Chance (Second Chance, #1) by Caisey Quinn and yet another crazy-hot alpha male from Casey Quinn!! Don't love it as much as I did Girl with Guitar (Kylie Ryans, #1) by Caisey Quinn series, but it is hard to match.

Next up for me will be The Crescendo (A Musical Interlude, #2) by KaSonndra Leigh , Dare to Resist (Wedding Dare, #0.5) by Laura Kaye and Before He Was Famous (HotFlush, #1) by Becky Wicks

I am not looking for anything romance heavy. I wish for a decent read with some action.

It wasn't bad. My biggest issue with it was that it was really slow and didn't get truly interesting until after 200 pages give or take. This isn't romance heavy at all, the romance is very subtle. I'd say there's more intrigue than action.

My biggest complaint with it Brooke is that it seems to be a Cia-fest if that makes any sense?? It has a completely different rhythm than the first book and almost feels like a different story somehow. And where the hell is Thomas?! OMGOSH I'm still reading The Rules for Disappearing (The Rules for Disappearing, #1) by Ashley Elston . I'm at 86% and it's DRAGGING! And there is so much telling. This author, how the heck did DISNEY think this book was good? UGH! I might have to put it down and pick up something else for today. I've read her Cambio Springs series already :) was super excited when she first announced it and so I stalked for it LOL! Grabbed the prequel as soon as it was available and fell in love with it (yeah I know, big surprise hahahaha!) followed it up with book 1 and the next novella. Liked them all and the series is quite interesting/different from her other PNR series since it's about shifters. But in her brilliance, just as intricately detailed and wonderfully written. I have yet to read anything from EH that I have not truly enjoyed. Can't wait for book 2 to release for Cambio Springs. EH says it'll be her next book release so I'm jumping up and down with excitement :D

Yeah Tracy, loads of mixed feelings battling it out at the end of it for sure. I think that because it was such a turbulent story with such an intense cocktail of emotions warring throughout the whole book it takes a while after finishing it off to make sense of all the feelings. I for one am crossing my fingers that she writes a followup book to it. I'd love to read more on these messed-up characters LOL!
