Oh Rebecca hope you like TFS and TWC as much as I did. Both were really great. I can't wait for book 2 for TWC. It was so good.

Yes Brooke The Winner's Curse was fantastic. Looking forward to book 2. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to release. The Forever Song was very good. Not as great as TWC but still a very good read.

I don't understand why the character is not smart but then acts like she is her actions don't reflect that. It sounds so backwoods also, which is really annoying, but I'm going to go through it until I get bored of it and need to change it up.

Sookie is ok, but I really do like Chicagoland, it's interesting, but book 1 was kind of a flop, but I have found with many series that are long that I hated book one. Examples, Morganville vampires, vampire academy, and a few others I can't remember right now. But each of those I hated book 1.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments I'm on book 2 of Sookie, but I might pick up something else soon and set it down. But the plot is interesting in Sookie so far.

Yeah its weird that the books are not told in chronological order, although theoretically it should be nice to know that the couples from the first generation books have children that get their own HEAs. But in reality it doesn't work as well, since they had nice parents and then their stories aren't as dramatic or tragic as their parents'.

This was first PNR series I read and it was really fascinating at the time, so I kept reading it. I know what you mean. In PNR genre heroines are all the same, it's a curse. Kate, Cat, Mercy, Merit, Mac, etc. they all are Kick-ass, snarky, stubborn MCs, but at least they are intelligent and know how to solve a mystery. I haven't met anyone as moronic as Sookie. She pissed me off so much I stopped caring. :D Another curse of PNR is, that every MC is so hot all male characters want to get on with her. Harris just took the idea to the whole new level and drove me nuts.
