Froi didn't really end in a cliffhanger, but it ended with a "I want more" kind of ending, but I am really enjoying Marcelo- a sweet story :)

I feel exactly the same way. I resorted to reading a chapter a day to force myself to get through the last one. It's the same story line over and over again. Not to mention the stupidity of some of the charcters (especially the humans). Honestly, how can people still believe Neferet's lies and think she's good this far into the series? How many people does she have to kill before people start to realise "Oh, maybe she's evil"? Another thing that annoys me with this series is how easily the "bad guys" are forgiven and trusted by the good guys. No matter how many people they've killed (incuding friends/family of Zoey's group) or evil things they have done, as soon as they say I've changed my mind I'm on Nyx's side now they're automatically forgiven and become a trusted member of the group.

I actually looked at reviews for the first book and a few of my friends said it was just okay, so I was surprised how good this one was. Pretty close to the level of BDB, read them back-to-back and not once did I think to myself that it paled in comparison as far as PNR goes. Wish I'd gotten the first three in before this one, but I'll still go back because I really loved the characters!

I'm actually buddy reading with a friend and we're both pretty impressed so far. If you read Hex Hall, I think you'd like this one. No, book 6 is not the last one there is a book 7 coming out. From the way things stopped last, I don't expect the series to end anytime soon, I have nothing to base this on but I expect the series to go on until about book 10.

If I'm basing it on this book I read, which was #4 in the series, I say absolutely. Looks like reviews for the first book were so-so, but it gets better as the series goes on if you go by ratings. Like I said above to Belkis though, this one was easy to get into after reading Black Dagger Brotherhood, and I wouldn't have felt that way if this was inferior to that series. So a big YES from me! =)

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments Big Bad Bite (Big Bad Bite, #1) by Jessie Lane 3.5 stars. It was ok, it strayed and lost a bit, and the plot is not finished, which I don't like.

Good to know, I just don't think I could get past knowing it's like VA. I think I'd be looking for comparisons and such and I think it'd take away from the book. I may remove them from my list. I don't think I'll eventually read them especially if I can figure out what happens. Part of what I love about some books is that I can't predict what is going to happen, if I can't predict it is usually a good book.

JLA did the same thing with Wait For you. Trust in Me is from Cam's POV, but there's so much more added to the story through his POV. Yes, there are some of the same scenes, but they are expanded or told from a different time perspective. WD was just the same time perspective all around. Annoying.

Exactly. So she can write the love triangle, but it's not really a love triangle. She showed Aria needed more than Perry. He fulfilled the romance, but she needed the friendship with Roar to keep her grounded. Perfectly done.
