Bree (breesc23) Just finished As I Wake by Elizabeth Scott and it was good. It lost a good amount of points because of the ending though. But I definitely enjoyed the ride there. I was confused first because I didn't know it as supposed to be like an alternative world..

Reading The Predicteds by Christine Seifert next. Read a sample long ago and loved it. Also reading Division by Karen A. Wyle and it feels like I know these boys

message 3169: by Belkis (new)

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Have also started Dirty (Dan and Elle, #1) by Megan Hart in addition to Dominic (Slater Brothers, #1) by L.A. Casey which I'm honestly struggling with due to the blatantly offensive language used by both MCs whenever they address each other. It's so crude it's down right abusive. Both of them. And I see no need for it. Okay they'rte young and angry but no. No matter what. Just no. So i'll have to see how it goes and if it gets any better. So far I'm at around 50% and I still cringe every other page :(

message 3170: by Lise (new)

Lise Hey, I really disliked Dominic too- Silly book with extremely unlikable characters imo.

Just finished Welcome to Sugartown (Sugartown, #1) by Carmen Jenner it was ok-ish. Nothing too great.

Am a bit at a loss as to what to read next. so I'm prowling the threads in search of the next great read. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Dirty is good so far Donna. I'm about a quarter into it and the story is pretty intriguing. I'm getting into the characters so that's a good sign :)

And on Dominic, I have it on pause at around 50% too. Don't know if I'll be going back into it though. Maybe later on just to finish it. But crass language between the MCs is very off-putting so we're in the same boat on this one darling...

I enjoyed it. It's not too heavy on the romantic side but it is definitely a main focus of the story. I will say I liked the first book more than the second.

Have you read the Covenant Series by Jennifer Armentrout or Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi? Excellent story telling and characters
