I was a bit disappointed in that. I felt book 1 developed very naturally and had a great story line I loved it. I was hoping for a similar storyline to be for Jake...sadly that didn't happen I really think that having that stalker crazy person took away from the story.

This particular one is only 57 pages, luckily it was free, but I'd never pay more than .99 then again I doubt I'd buy it.

Right!!?? Smh I finished Ethan's mate, and let me tell you, it's just sex dressed up in a weak story. It's ehhh. I mean honestly though how much world building and mythology can you get into a book with only 60 pages?

It got mixed reviews; you either hate it or love it. It's sort of predictable but still a good mystery which minor characters that will be major in the next book. And the pretty covers don't hurt.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments So I started The Missing (The FBI Psychics, #1) by Shiloh Walker and it's not in the present yet we are in 1992 talking about how the main characters meet and what not but it's boring the crap out of me. I just want to get to the story. It's rated decently so I'm going to try to push through it, but I might have to set it down and try something else first. Yea I might put the missing on hold. I think this story could have been told differently. Cause it's supposed to take place when they are adults but right now they are teens and I think she could have done flash backs or something. So might start the other one now

I got to beta read Wendy's book. I honestly didn't love it, but perhaps she made changes since this was a while back. I'd be interested to see if it's different now.

I have set aside for the moment The Missing (The FBI Psychics, #1) by Shiloh Walker though it has picked up so I might continue in a little while or might not.

On deck A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole

Okay, so has anyone else read A Gate of Night (A Shade of Vampire #6) by Bella Forrest yet? I finished it over the weekend, and I'd love to bounce thoughts around with someone on this one. I really didn't like the tone to this one and I am actually upset where the storyline went. I hate to say that because I've loved this series, maybe a few days will give me some perspective!

Yeah Danielle book 2 is much better, and is really the book that sold me on this series. One of my favorites for this series. Was the one I read as the first book for the sries back when I started/discovered it since back then Amazon had it listed as book 1 LOL! Hope you enjoy it. I don't remember if the author added a glossary in this one but she started adding in a glossary early on to help readers with all the different terms and creature names and such so look for it if you need a little clarifying. But you'll catch on eventually through the reading of this one. Really great series, story, characters, and writing.

OMG Erin, what, this wasn't the end of the series yet?! It's book 6 right?? Argh! I keep waiting for it to be done so I can read from book 3 onward and not be tortured by the waiting. But if you're saying that you didn't like where she took the storyline, then it's not done yet?? And the waiting continues for me then :(
