Teresa | 606 comments I finished Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4) by Marissa Meyer which was good, but my least favorite in the series. It was too long, and there were just too many story lines, which made things confusing for me at times. I also finished Grave of Hummingbirds by Jennifer Skutelsky . It was a very beautifully written book. Next up I'm going to read Euphoria Lane by Tina Swayzee McCright

I had every intention of reading Winter as soon as it came out but it's not available on audible in Aus for some reason! Now I'm not in such a hurry for it, I've heard the same thing from lots of peopl so I'll just get to it when I get to it

Really looking forward to Frozen Tides (Falling Kingdoms, #4) by Morgan Rhodes !!!

Lol Tracy, so many gatherings so little time. I've barely read anything this year. I'm currently reading Ten Thousand Skies Above You (Firebird, #2) by Claudia Gray . I'd love to find more books like The False Prince (The Ascendance Trilogy, #1) by Jennifer A. Nielsen so let me know if you know of any.

50% into Passenger (Passenger, #1) by Alexandra Bracken and while I like the idea of the story, and the characters are growing on me, the chapters are WAY too long. I feel like they go on and on forever. This is making the book really slow for me. Usually I read Bracken in the blink of an eye. I've been reading this one for a few days and, while I am liking it, it's not calling out to me to pick it up. This makes me sad.

I started re-listening to Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White for something light. I have been listening to The Kiss of Deception (The Remnant Chronicles, #1) by Mary E. Pearson and it's ok just requiring a little more concentration than i have right now.

Not really sure. It's very wordy. I mean, I like it. But it needs to be cut up. I have found lots of places in each chapter where it could have been split, even into 3 or 4 shorter chapters. This is an ARC, so I'm not sure if they will change the format in the final book. But I can see this being a complaint about this book. It's a good story but it's also slow. Though things have been moving at a faster pace since about 50% in. I'm at 70% now.

Paula (littledarling2012) | 621 comments Ladies, I really suck lately. Haven't been on here for ages, as I was kind of out of commission with the flu. Winter season is the gift that keeps on giving. Especially when your colleague and boss sneeze and cough in your direction all the time.

But being in bed gave me a chance to read THE book of 2015. I've recommended it to a few of you already, but seriously, it's so good I'd like to get it's name tattooed on my forehead so everyone I meet knows about it.

I finished Passenger (Passenger, #1) by Alexandra Bracken and, while it was slow, and kind of drawn out in the narration, I ended up liking it. I really liked the story, though the time travel was a bit confusing at times. And, of course, it ended on a cliffhanger. Not a OMGOSH I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT (because honestly I saw what happened and had realized earlier on it's not what the male main character thought it was. But it's not like I need the book yesterday. Although it would be nice to have the ARC of the next one and not have to wait so long! I started my sampler of Truthwitch (The Witchlands, #1) by Susan Dennard . I don't do samplers and made a mistake when I requested this. But I figure it comes out in just over three weeks, so I can probably handle waiting a bit for the second half. Unless I read it and the publisher is inclined to send me the rest! LOL!

Me, too. I was worried. I still think there was too much filler and the chapters need to be cut down into more chapters, but the actual plot was interesting. I think there were some mistakes with the time travel in the way it was explained. Made it hard to understand at times.
