I loved it. Can't wait to read The Shadow Throne (The Ascendance Trilogy, #3) by Jennifer A. Nielsen next. This is a great series.

There was no way I was going to spend my money on that book. Loved Twilight, but I think the decision to do a gender bender story because some people didn't like Bella's character was wrong. As an author you have to write what's in your heart, some people will like it, some won't but you shouldn't write just to conform to what you think people want.

Ditto. I know this is just a retake on it from the other POV. I'm not really wanting to read it. But I do need a copy for my shelves. I saw it in the bookstore yesterday and was tempted to get it. But I needed to use my coupons for gifts for my son!

There's a lot of flashback stuff. So it's not filler, it's supposed to give a better idea of who the characters are, I guess? But it's weird. It's present, then they flashback, then they flashback in the flashback! And often times it's hard to see when they go back to present. It's annoying. I'm almost ready to email the tour host about not finishing it.

I know what you mean, Nicole! I first read Jane Eyre years ago, in high school or college, but I wasn't mature enough to truly appreciate it. Reading it now is like reading it for the first time, and I absolutely love it!! Bronte has earned a place in my heart right next to Austen.

Teresa | 606 comments I hope it's okay for me to post this here. I mentioned a few days ago that I was friends with the author of Supernatural Chronicles The Vampires (Dynamis in New Orleans Book 3) by Brenda Pandos . She's written a ton of other books. She recently suffered a stroke and has a long road ahead of her. It would mean a lot if you visited her amazon page and picked up a book or two of hers. Writing is her full time career and she is a mother of two.
Thanks guys, and again I apologize if I posted this in the wrong place.
