I struggled right until about 4 chapters from the end. It picks up, lots of action, but I still had so many issue with it.

Yeah I was the same, it started out reeaalllyyy slow but once she got to court it picked up a little, still wasn't really 'unputdownable' til the end though.. I thought it was okay, probably 3 stars - I picked the twist straight away so for the whole book I couldn't stop thinking how naive and narrow-minded the MC was. I didn't really have too much of an issue with the romance as I figured out pretty early (view spoiler) and it seemed pretty clear who the main love interest is even if the MC refused to believe it. I'm hoping (view spoiler)
Anyway I enjoyed it for the most part - I did think there were some aspects which were familiar from other books but the author put her own spin on it and I didn't really mind so much. I'm not really in any huge hurry to read the second one but I'll get to it at some stage

and yes, it was awesome! Really a great read. Suspenseful, creepy - in that you never know who is an alien - and written with a perfect sense of character: Cassie, Ben, Evan. I'm definitely getting to the next one - because you know who HAS TO COME BACK!

The cover is really great. My only issue is that the guy seems to have short hair, which is not the case with Ethan Dexter!

? I'm 30% in and I think it'll be a DNF. I just find the characters really flat. Same goes for the storytelling.

Red Queen just bugged me. I felt like it was all these books I've read thrown into one idea. And there's a love QUADRANGLE! yes, you read that right. I just wanted to throw it. I did end up finishing it (and the ending was very Catching Fire).
