It's a fast and very entertaining read. There are some moments when I almost fell out of my chair laughing. And the heroine is just kick ass.

LOVED this one too Laura!!! Unfortunately the next one won't be out until next September ;( however given how quickly this year has gone I have no doubt the time will fly by!

Read Born to Endless Night (Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, #9) by Cassandra Clare last night - it was such a sweet novella! And now I think I have an idea of what the fifth Shadowhunters World series might be about, but we will have to wait and see

Only one more TftSA novella to go now then it's going to feel like aaaaggggeeessss until Lady Midnight! Argh, that book better be worth this pain of waiting!

I'm definitely excited but I have to admit I really wish there was more news e.g release date, cover, blurb etc for the next Age of X - I feel as though it's just been sitting there with its title and no other info forever

Ohhh this does look very interesting indeed Ash. I wasn't aware of the release of this new one for her. I'm also stacking up the Age of X books until they're all released before diving into them so I'm not frustrated while I wait.

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments Finished Invisible (The Twixt, #2) by Dawn Metcalf 4 stars. I love this series! This one was just as good, if not a little better than the first book, Indelible. I love fairy stories in general, and this one is very well done. And I love that this was not all about Ink and Joy, either. It was really more of Joy's story.

Ashlee | 309 comments Read Cage of Deceit (Reign of Secrets, #1) by Jennifer Anne Davis it was okay but didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the True Reign series - it actually read like a first draft with lots of sloppy dialogue and for some reason the MC who is a princess in a medieval-esque fictional world kept using words like ' blimey' and 'bloke' (the latter being particularly frustrating for me as an Aussie bc it was being used as a kind of insulting term akin to 'cad' or 'arsehole' when it is actually just a slang word for 'man'.....anyway it made no sense at all for this MC to be sounding like a 1950s London copper...it was just weird!!

I can't remember whether the True Reign series was like this - I'm sure I would have picked up on the weird slang but it's possible dialogue problems may have slipped past me, I've become a lot better with my critiquing since then I think...I do think, story wise, the True Reign series was much more engaging and more polished and I also would have liked to see storylines from other characters' perspectives in this one - the subplots were really quite weak

Lol that's enough of my rant!

Nicole D. (thereadingrebel) | 969 comments Wicked Designs (The League of Rogues, #1) by Lauren Smith was a DNF @ 37%
This was so disappointing. This author wrote 2 of my favorite books of the year and then this was just so horrible. The hero was a jerk, the kidnapping and drugging of the heroine by hero was just wrong, and a few other things just made this unreadable. I am just so disappointed.

reading The Escape (The Survivors' Club #3) by Mary Balogh . This series hasn't let me down.

Garrett (Cold Fury Hockey, #2) by Sawyer Bennett is just bugging me. It's nothing like the first book at all. So much is centered on sex and not because it's a good or important part of the plot line. I'm having a really hard time reading it and it's making me sad. I know I need to finish, though, because I know stuff happens to Zack in this book that's important for his book. GAH!

That is really frustrating Nicole but sadly we've all had that happen at one point or another with a favorite author or series.
