What Are You Reading? 2015

Wasn't it awesome! :-)

Maybe this will break you out of your book slump :)

Don't worry about being in the extreme minority, I often am too. I did like Laini Taylor's series. The second book was my favorite. I thought it was really poetic. The first took me a while to get into because I didn't like Karou at first, thought she was a bit silly, but she definitely evolved at the end of the book and then I liked it more. The third book was good but a bit long for my taste

I hope so. I've started many but finished none in a while.

SAme here I didnt love it but it was good. I liked the second book more and really enjoyed the third!

This is one of my absolute favorite series EVER!! I love all the characters and was sad :( when the series ended! Rachel Caine is one of my most Favorite Authors ever!

FOL is good Erin! It started slow for me but it was really good. I cried a few times ... But I think I enjoyed FOC

When I started reading your post I thought you were going to say I am owed an apology from Laini for her terrible writting. I'm glad you didn't finish the sentence that way because that series is one of my favourites.

I finished FOL recently and really enjoyed it. I want to read FOC.

Don't worry. There have been heaps of books that are well loved that I didn't enjoy. Fifty Shades of Grey is a prime example.

Bridget you are not alone, I just did not like or connect with book either and it was so weird that everyone else seems to love it, I must have been missing something, lol!

I keep wondering if I'm missing something also, Anna. That's why I keep telling myself I should do a re-read.

I'm 50% in and loving it. I have seen some status updates that I've stayed away from because people can suck! LOL!

I'm so sucked in, I know it's broken me of mine! Not surprised, though. Maas always does that for me.

I think this was my favorite book of the three, although the fourth book has four POV's which I really enjoyed, but the ending didn't WOW me.

Same here! About 2/3 through and can't put it down...although there is one aspect of it that I'm not enjoying too much - just hoping that rights itself over the rest of the series

Well, there are two more books. And I have things that aren't right for me, but I agree, I'm hopeful they will right themselves throughout the series.

Not saying anything else except that I loved the story - so completely action packed, full of lots of ass-kicking and of course some massive revelations! Fortunately it's not such a massive cliff-hanger as book 3 so as much as the wait will kill me I don't feel too hungover right now

I love this series. I'm at book 9 now and would have finished the series already if Ghost Town was in audio at my library.

I wasn't a huge fan either Bridget. I finished it and thought it was OK but I don't remember a lit about it now.

I'm sort of the same I think...I did enjoy it but I didn't feel compelled to read the other two like I usually would be with a series...I'll get to them at some stage!

Unravel me! Yes! Love that book!!!
About 7 chapters into

LOVELOVELOVE the Shatter Me series! Hope you enjoy book #2. Have you read the novellas? They are a must - and do it in sequential order. Fantastic. Also, I just but MaP on my TBR. Love those hockey men!

Oh boy, a tear-jerker...good to know I need to be prepared! lol Glad they were both worth a read.

Yes Erin FOL is very much a tear jerker!! You would have to be heartless for this book not to effect you in anyway!
And remember it starts out kinda slow but it had enough going on to keep me curious to keep reading and I am glad I did.

And I just finished

Now Im finally starting

I ended up pulling an all-nighter with this one because a) I didn't want to put it down and b) as with the first book, the audio version, while brilliant, was freakin' creepy lol....now, however, I'm regretting glutting myself on this book - I'm so exhausted and have to go out tonight AND I have no more book left! I should have savoured it more...the next one won't be out for aaaaggggeeessss!!!

Okay, I'll brace myself and dive in soon then. Got to start checking off some of these that I've had on the TBR for years. =/

I finished FOL yesterday and loved it, but I didn't find it to be a tear-jerker. Maybe because I saw the twist coming and prepared myself for it? I'm definitely going to be adding FOC to my TBR.

Ugh. That's how I feel about the next Arcana Chronicles book. I need it now!!!

The first book was excellent and I can't wait to get into the meat of the second one!

Thats what Ive been doing. I have made it through about 100 or so of my really old TBR list. But lately Ive been going back and forth between old TBR and new releases that Ive been waiting for ...Just cant help it. :)
