Quieter for me as I realize I really should post only YA and NA books.

I am reading book 3, End of Days (Penryn and the End of Days, #3) by Susan Ee . (17-year-old main character) Gruesome and gory, but interesting.

I read and finished Tell Me Something (Something Series Book 1) by Aubrey Bondurant re 22-year-old female and 35-year-old male. Average formula contemporary romance novel.

Started Reign of Shadows by Sophie Jordan yesterday and finished today. I really enjoyed it. I like Jordan's books a lot. I did have one small issue with it, but I won't put that here because it's a spoiler.

Ashlee | 309 comments Just finished City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5) by Cassandra Clare and City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments, #6) by Cassandra Clare and I have to say I'm glad I decided to stick it out because I actually ended up enjoying the final book (although it probably could have been a couple hundred pages shorter)....book 5 was...frustrating, to say the least, and there were like a million moments I was screaming at my iPad because of how stupid Clary was!

I think a lot of CoLS could have been chucked and the first third of book 6 put into book 5 but whatever...

Pretty much I kept turning the pages for the TID crossover with Brother Zachariah - I think if I hadn't already read and loved TID I wouldn't have been nearly as invested in these books...also I liked Simon and Isabelle. And in the last book I liked getting to know Emma and Julian - I'm hoping they'll make good MCs for The Dark Artifices...I also think the premise for that series is quite promising

Donna | 1350 comments Alright. I've hit a low. Taking a break on anything new for the moment - have a lot going on in my life right now. I'm just about done with A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness and I like it. Stopped listening to Siege and Storm (The Grisha, #2) by Leigh Bardugo and Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater . I feel like reading a Kresley Cole pnr book, but there's nothing new out... think I may do a reread of Pucked by Helena Hunting - something fun (I'm all over the place!).

I think the phrase 'worth the read' is very much dependent on personal taste...as I said, it could have been 200 pages shorter - 700+ pages is insane but there was a lot happening and I think if you're a fan of TID you'll definitely love certain chunks of book 6, for me those parts alone made it worth the read :)

I didn't mind book 5, wasn't great, but book 4 was the one I really didn't enjoy. Book 6 was really good, but agree with Ash it was loooong.

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments Finished Paper Towns by John Green I'm not really sure what to rate this one...I think I'll settle on a 3.5. I didn't like this one nearly as much as Will Grayson, The Fault in Our Stars, or Looking for Alaska. Honestly, this one was pretty depressing. I did love about the last third of it. The road trip was the best part, and made the book worth reading. I also loved the whole concept of "paper towns" and I'm a sucker for maps :)

M♡ (pumpkinguts) Just finished: Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor

I honestly feel like I am owed a personal apology from Laini Taylor for what my emotions just went through. I'm torn between needing the next book in the series right now and needing a recovery period. What beautiful writing! Very few pages passed that I wasn't touched by the way the author described something. It took me a few chapters to get into it but I can see why this book has so many fans.
