Yes! One month away! Almost time for a series-so-far re-read!!!

I had a thought about Dorian the other day which would be so awesome if it happened....what if that collar thing turns him into a Darkling-esque bad boy??...I may actually fall a little in love with him if that happens!

Lol I know, how silly I was! But I struggled so much with SM though, and it wasn't until I FINALLY got to the end of it that I was like 'okay, I really want to read the next one now!'

I'll have to add this one to my tbr Jenny. I saw a while back that you really liked this one and the title and bookcover did grab my attention so I guess I need to look into it some more :)

Ashlee | 309 comments Okay...my Warner obsession has reached dizzying new heights after reading Destroy Me (Shatter Me, #1.5) by Tahereh Mafi !!! I have the same feeling I did when I finally started watching Arrow - like I'm a million years late to the party! At least arrow is still going though...although how I'm going to survive next season without Colton Haynes I have no idea...

Really wishing I'd decided to tackle this series again before ELB - this hangover is disastrous and it would be handy to have a book I was so psyched about come out just in time to aid my recovery!

Bridget | 1517 comments So, I've been on vacation all this past week. One last hurrah before school starts back for my kids next week. Didn't have much reading time, but did manage to finish Dirty Bad Savage (Dirty Bad, #2) by Jade West . It was pretty good. Now I'm starting Kaleb (Alluring Indulgence, #1) by Nicole Edwards , which I've had on tbr forever.

message 21516: by Ashlee (new)

Ashlee | 309 comments Hey people! So as you know I'm suffering terrible book hangover...I've done some looking around on GR though and am after opinions on which one of these I should tackle now: Splintered (Splintered, #1) by A.G. Howard or Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver ?? I actually have no idea what I'm in the mood for right now, I feel so blah! But both of these look promising so your thoughts would be great...I do have a question though - is Delirium like Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie ?? Cause I found that book to be booorrrriiinnnggg!!

My other option is to start my re-read of ToG early but I'd prefer to wait til the end of the month for that

I haven't read Splintered but I have read Delirium. I would say it was just okay, not bad but not great. I think quite a few people are fans of it though so it might just be me. I haven't read Matched but have heard it's similar to Delirium with most saying Delirium is the better one out of the two. Book hangovers are the worst. I'm so looking forward to Queen of Shadows and Winter!!!

message 21523: by Nicole D. (new)

Nicole D. (thereadingrebel) | 969 comments I read about 50 pages of Call on Me (Loving on the Edge, #8) by Roni Loren and then called it as a DNF. Life is too short to read books you just don't like. I won it in a blind giveaway so at least I didn't waste money on it. It wasn't badly written but it's just not my thing.

restarted Postern of Fate (Tommy and Tuppence, #5) by Agatha Christie and I am liking it but it's just not up to the author's usually standard. Probably going to be 3 stars. I know this is the last book so wrote before she died.

I am loving my reread of Midnight Thief (Midnight Thief, #1) by Livia Blackburne and I have about 130 pages left.

Can't wait for Daughter of Dusk (Midnight Thief, #2) by Livia Blackburne

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments @ Ash

Ugh, GR gets all jumbled :$ my original reply got all messed up, sorry. Getting over a great read is very hard so I feel for you. I tried but couldn't get into Splintered it just wasn't for me. And Delirium has never appealed to me so I haven't read it. Then lastly, I'm in the minority when it comes to Matched as I actually enjoyed the whole trilogy. I plan on reading these in the upcoming weeks maybe if you haven't read these something might catch your interest?
Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis Darkness Brutal (The Dark Cycle, #1) by Rachel A. Marks Slow Dance in Purgatory (Purgatory, #1) by Amy Harmon The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton Magonia (Magonia, #1) by Maria Dahvana Headley The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North Prudence (The Custard Protocol, #1) by Gail Carriger Ink and Bone (The Great Library, #1) by Rachel Caine

Yes!! Love this series so much!! The third and fourth books were my fave!! Ahh Han...sigh
