The Arcana Chronicles are sooooo good. One of my most favorite series. I can't wait for the last book to come out.

Not going to try again, I got to about 56% and thought that was enough. I might just not answer her, or tell her my co-blogger is reading, b/c she said she would.

Right. Here's the thing, the story is a good one. But the tense was so terrible, like the editing was that bad it was just hard to read. And the characters weren't particularly beliveable to me.

My personal opinion - I think you should just let her know the book wasn't for you. It's better to know I think than just sit around wondering what happened. In the end it might benefit the author. Maybe you can even let her know what didn't work for you. It's so hard to be honest and let someone down but sometimes you just have to.

I replied telling her I didn't finish the book and won't be posting a review. If she wants my reasons, she can ask. I also told her my co-blogger is going to read it and I would let her know about the review when she is done.

Lately for me books are either a 3 or a 5, I can't find something in between. And there are many more 3s than 5s, which is really disappointing. I like my 4s! LOL!

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) I have just started Alissa York's novel Effigy. So far, so good. :)

Yeah, when you have a few 5s in there, it makes the 3s that much more disappointing.

Well I'm a quarter into Red Queen now Brooke and I dunno :/ for some reason I feel like it's taken a turn that I'm not sure if I like. It started out really good, interesting, the whole "silver blood" "red blood" power houses/castes, but then all of a sudden, BAM! the story has shifted and I'm not sure where it's going ..... I guess I'll have to see where it goes.

Yup, it starts out with a bang, then it fizzled for me. Too much thrown together from other books and then the romance, I was not fond of that. I'm interested to see your thoughts about that part. Oh and the very end reminded me of a certain recent movie taken from a YA book. So there's that.
