This is exactly why I change up reading genres like every other book. Otherwise I probably wouldn't enjoy most of what I end up reading.

Oh dear that does sound unappealing :/ sorry you got stuck with more sucky reads Brooke. I say pick a book you want to read and set aside the ones you have to read for reviews if they're not appealing. Then once you get a good read in, you can go back to gambling on the ones you have to review LOL!

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Okay I finished Breeder (Breeder, #1) by Cara Bristol and Sway by Lauren Dane and both were quite good. Now to change up my genres again, I'm diving into Boomerang (Boomerang, #1) by Noelle August because Brooke totally got me in the mood to start it :)

Nicole D. (thereadingrebel) | 969 comments Couldn't continue Beauvallet by Georgette Heyer . I am just not liking the heroine and finding it annoying. I will try to read it again later because I want to read everything Heyer has ever written. I don't know what is up with this one. I love Heyer's books. I have only ever read one dud Powder and Patch. Where the heroine was idiot and the plot ridiculous.

SEAL's Desire (A Military Romance) (Take No Prisoners Book 2) by Elle James and The Gilded Cuff (Surrender, #1) by Lauren Smith loved them both but The Gilded Cuff was sooooo great. It is one of my favorites of the year. I am so in love with this author's writing and characters. I can't wait to get to book 2. I also can't wait to read more of the Seal's series. They are quick action packed romance reads.

Currently listening to By the Pricking of My Thumbs by Agatha Christie and looking for a romance to read along with it.

Donna | 1350 comments FINALLY finished listening to Beautiful Player (Beautiful Bastard, #3) by Christina Lauren and I LOVED IT! It took forever since I listened to it (& with kids around that was NOT going to happen) but it was amazingly good. Their BB series is great. I'm gonna read their Sweet Filthy Boy (Wild Seasons, #1) by Christina Lauren soon.

Sometimes that happens, this is a perfect case of different strokes for different folks. You taste is your own. This is a hard place because you want to like what your friends like and when it's not the case then you feel conflicted.

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments I finished The Orphan Queen (The Orphan Queen, #1) by Jodi Meadows , loved it! I didn't like it quite as much as Incarnate, but I have major love for that trilogy. The writing in the Orphan Queen is better, though, and I think its overall just a better fantasy world. I also really liked the characters.

Right now reading Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy, #1) by Danielle L. Jensen , good so far!
