Do I want to read thus one Belkis? It sounds like Hopeless or maybe Me Before You?

You probably would want to read this one Tracy. It's really great just a sad one. It's not like Hopeless or Me Before You, but it's still at the same level as far as interesting- well-written-great-characters. Highly recommend.

Finished A Million Miles Away by Lara Avery . So much potential but I just didn't feel it. Third person bugged me and I couldn't connect with the MC. And also the whole story was kind of unbelievable. And I didn't like how things kind of easily fell in place.
I'm going to start Every Day (Every Day, #1) by David Levithan as I heard it's amazing. I still need to finish The Replaced (The Taking, #2) by Kimberly Derting

Oh Donna I'm planning on starting Fighting Silence (On the Ropes, #1) by Aly Martinez next. I've been wanting to read this one for a long time now. Is this the type of fighting book you're in the mood for? I also want to read these so maybe one of these might be worth checking out? Ive been skipping all over Genres and yet to find one that has pulled me in. There are plenty I want to start but I dont want to start a new series and have to wait years to finish so Ill be waiting on some of the newer books. I was mostly bored and struggled to read on. If E.L. James writes the 2nd book from Christians POV, I don't know if I am going to read it. If I decide to read it, then I would just skim through it and only really read the new stuff (when Ana wasn't around - and that's not often).

I mean, the book is not really bad. But there is just not enough new stuff happening to keep me interested and hold my attention. If you don't mind re-reading stories, then it will be fine. But it just didn't do it for me.

I did like the last 50 pages or so, where the story picks up after the ending of fifty shades of grey. That wasn't so bad - to know how he reacted.

The only good thing is, that there is no babbling from Ana (OMG, Oh God, my inner goddess,...). Christian isn't as emotional as Ana, as we all know. But there are some phrases he repeats - just not as annoying.

Yes, I heard about his phrases. I also saw some of the writing posted here and there and it just didn't appeal to me. If I'm going to read alternate POV, there has to be more to it than a retelling of what was in the first POV book.

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments Finished Diamonds and Deceit (At Somerton, #2) by Leila Rasheed and thought it was a good sequel. This series does remind me a LOT of Downton Abbey. I'm assuming there will be a 3rd book, left on kind of a cliffhanger.

EDIT: Just looked it up, and the 3rd book released in January! Completely missed it :) That looks like the final book in the series. Emeralds & Ashes (At Somerton, #3) by Leila Rasheed
