I read the first one Ash and really loved it. Need to finish this series but I wanted to finish the Dark Hunter series first because I got confused with them before.

I need to finish these.

I have read a few things Gaiman and for the most part really enjoyed everything I've read. His writing reminds me of Koontz and King in that he's out there with his stories.

OMGOSH Tracy, you WILL NOT be disappointed. It's fantastic. Like Throne of Glass mixed with Cassandra Clare. I am totally immersed and sneaking it during work! GAH! I don't want it to end. I haven't read a book that's kept me this enthralled in a while. AND it's third person, which I often have a hard time with, but it's done SO WELL!

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments Finished:

Before Tomorrowland by Jeff Jensen 4 stars, great adventure!

The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West 4 stars. Typical YA contemporary romance, with the proper angst. Enjoyed it enough :)

The Elite (The Selection, #2) by Kiera Cass 4 stars. This series is sort of like my obsession I have with Beverly Hills, 90210 (my old one.) Addicted to the drama!

Across a Star-Swept Sea (For Darkness Shows the Stars, #2) by Diana Peterfreund 4.5 stars. Loved this as much as the first book! These books are just so original, and I loved the characters too!

Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1) by Leigh Bardugo 5 stars, reread. Love this fantasy!

Arclight (Arclight, #1) by Josin L. McQuein 3.5 stars. I was majorly confused through much of this book. It all came together in the end with a fabulous ending. Not sure if I'll read the sequel yet.

The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #2) by Michelle Hodkin 4 stars. THAT ENDING!! HOLY CRAP!!!

Nikki Powergloves- A Hero is Born (Nikki Powergloves, #1) by David Estes 4 stars. Really fun adventure for kids! I enjoyed it :)

Rebel Queen by Michelle Moran 4 stars. Really liked this one. It covered some history in India that I did not know much about. The woman in it were incredible!

Right now reading:

House of Royals by Keary Taylor for review. So far its okay, although I haven't been blown away. I love the author, so I'm really hoping it gets better!

The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin I am LOVING this book! I've laughed a lot already!

This Shattered World (Starbound, #2) by Amie Kaufman not far in yet, so but so far loving it!

This. Book. Is. Brilliant!

LOVED every word, every sentence, every page. The whole thing was perfect. I laughed (a lot), I cried, and I melted with happiness. It had the same flavor of "I Am The Messenger" by Marcus Zusak.

This is a must read. Seriously. This is a book for Booklovers.

What is his reading level? My son read Harry Potter when he was 8!
Nikki Power Gloves by David Estes is really quite cute. At 9 my son also enjoyed the Diary of A Whimpy kid books (though they are aged for 6th grade). How about Captain Underpants? He also read the Middle School series by James Patterson. He's 11 1/2 now, though.
My 8 year old loves reading the Fly Guy books (though I think they are a bit too young for him now since he's advanced in his reading a lot this year). How about Junie B. Jones (I know, I know, it's a girl, but my kids, all boys, have enjoyed them) or Cam Jansen (same, but still). Have you tried the Magic Tree House books? or Horrible Harry? or Big Nate? Also Bad Kitty books :)
