Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments I think I'm going to be jumping into A Pound of Flesh (A Pound of Flesh, #1) by Sophie Jackson ASAP! I really want to read this one so I might move onto it next. See this is why so many books get pushed aside. Why are there so many fantastic looking books??!! Okay so I'll get to Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy, #1) by Danielle L. Jensen & Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard & The Wrath and the Dawn (The Wrath and the Dawn, #1) by Renee Ahdieh later on .....

Yeah, I felt like the actress was a little cold, too. After I finished season one of the show, I grabbed up the book to see if that ending was better than the show's, and Claire came across as much more tender with him than the actress portrayed her. Maybe that's just how she was supposed to handle it, but I personally wish we'd gotten some of THAT ending, because it would have made me feel a lot better than the cut-short final moments we got in the show.

So I finished Undeniably Chosen (Significance, #5) by Shelly Crane and I'm honestly disappointed. It was WAY too long and not much ever really happened until near the end, and my expectations were far off from what we got with this one. Given the age of the characters, I was expecting a more mature storyline, but Ava came across as SO young and naive for a girl in her twenties. And I'm sorry, but what 20-something guy uses the term "daggum"??! Not saying books have to have cursing in them, but ugh it's annoying when teeny-bopper terminology is used by adult characters in a book. That on top of the numerous editing issues just frustrated me to no end, as much as I hate to say it.

OMGOSH I just saw this post about Grey (Fifty Shades, #4) by E.L. James . It was HILARIOUS. All highlighted quotes tweeted throughout the day as the person read the book. OY! I think I am going to have to pass. I thought maybe, just maybe, it would be better. That the editor/publisher would pay more attention. But there's no fixing bad writing when it's just BAD. YEP!

Yeah I kind of felt the same, Erin. I mean there was hardly any "significance" in the book at all. No powers, no imprinting (other than a touch here and there) just a whole lot of nothing and very anticlimactic.
