Im getting that feeling like I read this before but I know I havent I just bought the audio and havent touched the books on my shelf since I bought them. I have like 1 hour left of the audio and I just want it to end,no point in DNFing it now I put 5 hrs in already ...

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments I finished Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep the other night and must say I will not be finishing this series. I bought the first book & audio and thankfully the rest of the series is on KindleUnlimited Read/Listen or so I thought. it was very repetitive like we might have forgot what happened two chapters back or who a character was .... Yeah boring ..but another series I can cross off my TBR.

Has anyone read the Outlander Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon series? I'm newly addicted to the tv series and decided to look ahead at the books (I know, I know, but this one is just WAY to hard on the nerves to not be prepared in advance), and now I'm wondering if I want to watch past this season. I know about the gut-wrenching season 1 ending, it's some comments I've read about later in the series that concern me. Don't judge, I just want to know what I'm getting into and I don't care if it "spoils" the plot. I am full-on head over heels for Jamie, there are just no words, and I can't go farther if this all goes to hell!!

Ashlee | 309 comments Just read Pleasure of a Dark Prince (Immortals After Dark, #9) by Kresley Cole and now on to No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole - I've read these so completely out of order it's interesting seeing things from future books click into place, I will definitely have to read them all again in order at some stage!

Just read the blurb for Sweet Ruin (Immortals After Dark, #15) by Kresley Cole - I'm sure it will be great but I'm a bit disappointed its two new characters

Piper Lawson (piperlawson) | 5 comments I'm partway through The Mistake (Off-Campus, #2) by Elle Kennedy

Elle Kennedy is on a roll for me with this series. She has cracked the college scene in a way that's light but feels really authentic. Plus, super sexy. So hooked!

Love the BB series also...next up will be Beautiful Secret (Beautiful Bastard, #4) by Christina Lauren

As with EK's books, I love that they have great characters, fast and funny dialogue, and steamy scenes. My all-time fave of theirs is still Beautiful Player (Beautiful Bastard, #3) by Christina Lauren

Now I just need to find a good week to read Beautiful Secret. (IE: 1 day to read it and 6 days to get over the Christina Lauren hangover and decide I'm ready to resume living again)

I'll answer your question without giving too much away for the people who are planning on reading because I don't know how to do that hide spoiler thing.
Jamie is amazing. He's probably one of the best male book heroes ever created IMO. He stays amazing and actually his character gets better in each book. Book 2 is told mostly in flashbacks. Claire and Jamie get separated and the book starts 20 years in the future from where book 1 left off as Claire explains to her daughter what happened between her and Jamie. The book is really good but the ending left me in tears. Books 3 & 4 were really good as Claire and Jamie reunite and then Jamie even gets to meet his daughter. After I read book 1 I had to take a break from the series because the violence of what happened to Jamie was so hard to read. Things don't ever get as bad in the next few books. Anyway. I got up to book 5 but stopped a quarter of the way through because it is soooo slow. I thing you should give the series a try. The books are super long but they are really good. I'm sort of wondering how they are going to continue the show with the characters being 20 years older. I guess Hollywood makeup will make it work somehow.

Yeah Teresa book 1 had my heart in breaking for Jamie over and over again but it was really good and then the TV series just added another layer of greatness to the whole experience. I need to get to book 2 soon and I'm hoping it doesn't break my heart over Jamie :'( especially with the 20 year thing....
