What Are You Reading? 2015

I have these on my TBR list for ages I really want to read them too! Gah so many books never enough time!

Exactly! I didnt like the first book when I did try to read it so I cant even imagine how I would dislike it now. I never even bothered to try and read book 2 or 3 Book 1 was far to funny and I just couldnt take it serious!!
Its a shame I ended up DNF the movie lol But not really I got a few good laughs.

Yeah, if there's not something significant to make this unique I'm not going to be impressed. I really am just curious to see how she handles the male POV since it's SO different personality-wise from Ana, this may be a train wreck! LOL

Oh wow, really? Well, it'll be a plane flight for me either way, so when I do go it'll be a big trip regardless. Hopefully some day we'll be at a signing together!

LOL This is my dilemma, too. I had a "Must read next" shelf on here, but I added so many books that it essentially became TBR part 2. =)

Ha! Nuts I tell ya! I need to edit my shelves but that's a challenge in itself.

1/2 way through
and nothing has happened so far. Every chapter is one or the other character pining over each other. Saying how neither is good for each other, that the other just wants to be friends, etc. I'm usually ok with this, but nothing else has really happened and it's a bit boring. This is my second Glines book. I wasn't impressed with The Vincent Boys, so perhaps she just isn't for me? Oh and there's one chapter that all the guy POV talks about is sex and "fucking" or "did you fuck her". The work is used 4-5 times in that chapter. WTH?

I think who done it really well was Colleen Hoover with Hopeless and Losing Hope. That really worked for me. Same with Heather Topham Wood's Falling For Autumn series. But yeah, it's rare.

I so love this series!! Vlad is awesome. And I know what you mean when you read books set where you live. I live in the deep south (in the US) and when non southern people base a story there, it's highly entertaining. We seriously do not say "y'all" in place of everything.

Good gracious, Bridget! I'm so far behind on all these series! Glad to hear both are good reads.

Also finished

Love the stepbrother series covers. h.o.t!!

Ha ha. You must have gotten a kick out of the Beautiful Creatures series then. That book was so over the top with its Southern stereotypes.

Oh that's like an hours-long process, who has time for that?! LOL I've given up, I used to be all organized about putting certain books in their own shelf depending on the genre, but now they're all just in the good ole' TBR. =/

That's why I couldn't listen to...crap the name just escaped me. Anyway I can't listen to a book set in the south. Talk about stereotype. I understand that we sound country but our language hasn't been that way in 50 years.

Ugh, that sucks hon. I haven't read any of her recent stuff, so I can't say anything about those, but she's always been one of those authors whose work I loved, but I knew it was cheesy or overly dramatic dialogue/character narration for a good part of the story. Sorry this one isn't appealing to you, either, maybe just put it aside and go to one of your go-to authors!

I know. I'm not from the South but I lived in Northeast Florida for a few years where there is a definite Southern vibe. I know a lot of people like Beautiful Creatures but the stereotypes were so off putting I just couldn't get past them enough to enjoy the story.

That's really unfortunate hun that you are halfway and nothing is happening. I haven't read anything of hers since The Vincent Boys, which I really enjoyed.
