Exactly! I didnt like the first book when I did try to read it so I cant even imagine how I would dislike it now. I never even bothered to try and read book 2 or 3 Book 1 was far to funny and I just couldnt take it serious!!
Its a shame I ended up DNF the movie lol But not really I got a few good laughs.

Yeah, if there's not something significant to make this unique I'm not going to be impressed. I really am just curious to see how she handles the male POV since it's SO different personality-wise from Ana, this may be a train wreck! LOL

1/2 way through Until Friday Night (The Field Party, #1) by Abbi Glines and nothing has happened so far. Every chapter is one or the other character pining over each other. Saying how neither is good for each other, that the other just wants to be friends, etc. I'm usually ok with this, but nothing else has really happened and it's a bit boring. This is my second Glines book. I wasn't impressed with The Vincent Boys, so perhaps she just isn't for me? Oh and there's one chapter that all the guy POV talks about is sex and "fucking" or "did you fuck her". The work is used 4-5 times in that chapter. WTH?

I think who done it really well was Colleen Hoover with Hopeless and Losing Hope. That really worked for me. Same with Heather Topham Wood's Falling For Autumn series. But yeah, it's rare.

Martha | 10 comments Read Rook by Sharon Cameron , which I found enormously fun, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli , which was adorable and wonderful, just finished More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera , about which I had really mixed feelings (don't want to spoil it here, but would love to hear what others thought!), and started The Dark Unwinding (The Dark Unwinding, #1) by Sharon Cameron , which I'm quite enjoying so far.

I so love this series!! Vlad is awesome. And I know what you mean when you read books set where you live. I live in the deep south (in the US) and when non southern people base a story there, it's highly entertaining. We seriously do not say "y'all" in place of everything.

Ugh, that sucks hon. I haven't read any of her recent stuff, so I can't say anything about those, but she's always been one of those authors whose work I loved, but I knew it was cheesy or overly dramatic dialogue/character narration for a good part of the story. Sorry this one isn't appealing to you, either, maybe just put it aside and go to one of your go-to authors!

I know. I'm not from the South but I lived in Northeast Florida for a few years where there is a definite Southern vibe. I know a lot of people like Beautiful Creatures but the stereotypes were so off putting I just couldn't get past them enough to enjoy the story.
