Does anyone else have problems with multiple viewpoints? I found myself for TMI unable to hang because it was constantly changing views like ok I really only cared about Clary and Jace that's about it, but then I've get everyone under the suns pov before I finally got back to Clary and what was all going on with her. It drove me nuts cause it was written like a tv show. So I couldn't complete the series due to that. I can do multiple POVs just not the way she did it. I need some answers first.
Nope, I had no problem with TMI being in multiple pov's. I loved it! So excited (and nervous) for the last one!

Oh yes darling sure did! Can't wait to start Rock Bottom.
Danielle wrote: "Does anyone else have problems with multiple viewpoints? The only exception I have is when the author doesn't make it clear somehow that it's a different POV and I end up having to reread things over or get confused over it. I actually really like getting different POVs. It's great getting the story or plot from another perspective. And I especially like it when I want to know what other characters are thinking.

It's sometimes hard to read 3rd person omniscient. But it's necessary for some stories. I myself liked it for TMI and ID. I have read it where it's not worked. The author has to be very diligent about how they write when they are using that POV. It's not for everyone, that's for sure.

Thanks for your input.
Belkis wrote: "Danielle wrote: "Does anyone else have problems with multiple viewpoints? Like I said I guess I just didn't like her style and yes I know exactly what you mean when they don't make it clear.

Jack did NOTHING for the book except get angry and kiss Nikki all the time. That's it, I just didn't see the point in his character. At least with Cole I can actually see the emotions behind the feelings, with Jack I guess it's supposed to be a given but I don't get why, he is so flat and boring to me.

Well just don't act like no one should like it. To each his own opinion.

I didn't do that did I? Act like no one should like it? I said it had a terrible ending which is a statement of my opinion....but I see a lot of reviewers feel this way as well.
I just started
. Seems okay so far. I didn't love the first book but I can't leave a series unfinished.

Heyyyyy,I think its worth reading and you should give it a try. I liked the ending and thought it ended fittingly. Sure it wasn't perfect and wish there was more but that's like a lot of books. Give it a chance:)

Oh, I will. I wasn't going to skip it. It's just I've been disappointed with the third book in trilogies until just recently when I read Allegiant and Ignite Me. I don't want my lucky streak to end!

I agree! I actually really loved the ending, and I thought it fit the story-line. :)
Annie wrote: "Nope, I had no problem with TMI being in multiple pov's. I loved it! So excited (and nervous) for the last one!"I'm thinking about reading THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS SERIES. I saw the film and loved it but reviews of the books seem to differ in the extreme. People seem to either love it or hate it. Six books does seem a bit excessive. Is it worth reading?

Honestly, I think you should read them. The books are MILES better than the movie. They really messed things up in my opinion-butchered it, if you will- but that's just my opinion. I've been a hardcore TMI fan since the beginning and loved every book thus far. So, my opinion differs from others. You should give it a try. I've even re-read them several times. :)

Yes. I agree with the ending being fitting for the story. One of my favorite series:)

Brooke, I still need to read book 2. I liked Everneath okay. Wasn't my favorite, but I wanna see what happens next.

It's very good Penni and the story is really good. I'm enjoying it a lot. Almost done and will be continuing this series for sure :)

Same for me Annie. Everneath was okay. I didn't love it but is was good enough. I've only read book 1. So I have to read book 2 next and hoping the series gets better as it goes on.
Belkis wrote: "Penni wrote: "Belkis wrote: "So I finished

I didn't get too far into it when I had the book out of the library. I get more audio time then straight reading time so that may help out.

I know, right?! I remember back when our lists were reasonable enough that when one of us raved over a book we all just went and grabbed it to read. Now the reaction is always "oh good, I'll add it to the list!" LOL

Finished
today, it was good. Gave me the YA switch-up I needed, and it's definitely a great creepy world and likable characters. A little slow to develop, but I'm keeping this on my series to read lists just to see where things go!

I just couldn't bring myself to read the second one. I thought the concept was great but the execution was lacking for me. Glad you enjoyed it!
