I'm a little bummed, I finished Dark Instincts (The Phoenix Pack, #4) by Suzanne Wright and I just didn't love it like the first two books. I feel like the first two were incredible, and the 3rd and 4th were just good. I love Wright's work, but that intensity that the first two books of this series had seems to have fizzled for me. The sexy scenes are all commanding alpha-wolf hot, but I'm not feeling that connection to the characters that made my heart race with Taryn and Jaime's books. Maybe it's just me, who knows!

My copy of End of Days came in the mail so I'm diving in!!

Sara | 1037 comments Finally finished The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1) by Rae Carson it took all week long. Too much time is wasted telling us about the girl's weight and how much she eats. I liked it enough to move on to the next book eventually. I need something light and fast now maybe Faking It (Losing It, #2) by Cora Carmack or something else.

There's no romance or fluff to these books. Well the last one looks like it may have a little but it's not the main part of the story. Very unique.

started and finished Never Never Part Two (Never Never, #2) by Colleen Hoover . it wasn't awful, better than the first. Meh...I probably should have waited to start until all the parts were out.

A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas is killing me. about 3/4 of the way through and it's not getting any better for me. It's quite boring, actually. I'm not happy. I can't see it getting more than a 3 from me.

I hated how he turned into a jerk in Fracture Me. Honestly, I feel like the author did it to push us away from him and it made me so sad. Some say that we only were ever getting Juliette's POV, so now we see him for who he really is. It just made me mad and sad and want to pummel him.

I started Just Ella by Annette K. Larsen last night and am really enjoying it. It's a cute fun read. I also have Faking It (Losing It, #2) by Cora Carmack and A Step of Faith (The Walk, #4) by Richard Paul Evans planned for the next few days or however long it takes.

I loved it until about book #3. Then I just got annoyed. I read the rest anyway in the hopes it would get better. I will say that I did enjoy Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout but it is VERY adult and definitely not appropriate for the teens that might be reading the Lux series.

No Bridget, it's more of a companion novel - it's based on Lavana's teenage years - early twenties and provides a lot of background and info on how she became who she is in the other books. Quite interesting but it is also quite frustrating…I found myself sympathising with her at times but also screaming at my iPod because she is just so completely crazy.

Hmm, as always it's a matter of taste, but i do think Daemon and Katy get better after the start of the first book…then they take a massive nose dive in the fifth (or at least Katy does…I only managed to read one chapter before putting it down in disgust at how whiny she'd gotten)

Not sure if you've read any other of JLA's UF series, but if it helps i would rate them like this:

1. Dark Elementals
2. Titan
3. Wicked
4 Lux = with Covenant (although Covenant would be lower if it weren't for Seth)

Honestly, when I first started reading JLA, I loved her stuff. I loved the first Lux book, then I devoured Covenant (although I was not particularly happy with the last two books to be honest). Then Lux started getting bogged down. Now I feel like everything she writes is the same with different character names :( I still read everything she writes, though. My favorite books by her are her stand alones: Cursed and Don't Look Back.
