Oh Ash this one has had me intrigued but scared since I first caught sight of it. Might have to just bite it and read it. Especially now after reading your comment and 5 star rating. I just hope it doesn't leave me an emotional wreck.

Finished Daughter of Smoke & Bone, which officially clears out my books checked out/purchased. I keep hitting refresh on the library page. It isn't helping.

Okay guys, so sadly I'm throwing in the towel for now on
I'm like at 70% and the slow pace is unbearable anymore. After a whole freaking day of drag drag drag, I just can't do it for another moment. I'm so sad over this though. I'm still holding out hope for a good finish so I'll go back to it tomorrow but for right now I need to shelve it and move onto something that'll give me some reading joy. So I'm moving onto

meant to be a series? My biggest pet peeve is when books drag because they are meant to be a series so the author drags the story along rather than pacing it properly. I think I'm going to pass on this one. If you're finding it slow, I'm sure I will too.

I actually didn't find the second half slow at all, I was actually amazed at how much Maas was able to pack in...there is a solid resolution also so it will be interesting to see how the series pans out

I did that for another read recently. It took me literally MONTHS to get through,but I finally got to a point where it picked up (for me) & I finished the rest of it in, like, a day. Hope that happens for you.

It's not really scary as much as it is gory Belkis but you couldn't or wouldn't like it.

After a whole freak..."Me too Ash :( it's not bad and I have enjoyed some parts of the story and I appreciate the beautiful writing of course. I really enjoyed the beginning and the fae twist in the retelling so I'm hoping that by the ending I'll be content with this one overall.
