I'm almost finished with The Monstrumologist (The Monstrumologist, #1) by Rick Yancey and if you like the Dean Koontz or Stephen King kind of genre then you would really like this one.

I've had this one for so long and just never got to it :( I loved Crux by Julie Reece so I thought I'd love this. I beta read a book for her a while back that I couldn't get into and felt terrible about it. Just wasn't for me, I guess

I've finished The Monstrumologist (The Monstrumologist, #1) by Rick Yancey and I didn't even realize the Rick Yancey the author of The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey wrote it. I haven't read the 5th Wave and have heard mixed reviews but the Monstrumologist was a 5 star for me. I already downloaded the rest of the series.

I think my problem was definitely having to put it down so often in the first eight or so chapters...also, the main protagonists don't spend much time together at the start but now that they are its getting more interesting!

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments Well to start off with there is the FEVER series by KMM
Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning Faefever (Fever, #3) by Karen Marie Moning Dreamfever (Fever, #4) by Karen Marie Moning Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning
Iced (Fever, #6) by Karen Marie Moning Burned (Fever, #7) by Karen Marie Moning

then there is
Switched (Trylle, #1) by Amanda Hocking Torn (Trylle, #2) by Amanda Hocking Ascend (Trylle, #3) by Amanda Hocking was a great trilogy and Frostfire (Kanin Chronicles, #1) by Amanda Hocking Ice Kissed (Kanin Chronicles, #2) by Amanda Hocking is a spin off of it also.

Glimmerglass (Faeriewalker, #1) by Jenna Black was good but I never got around to finishing the series I still have them on my TBR tho!

I have Lament The Faerie Queen's Deception (Books of Faerie, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater and Ballad A Gathering of Faerie (Books of Faerie, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater but havent read them yet.But they are by Maggie how can they not be good? I really need to read them yet also!

The Wings (Wings, #1) by Aprilynne Pike Spells (Wings, #2) by Aprilynne Pike Illusions (Wings, #3) by Aprilynne Pike Destined (Wings, #4) by Aprilynne Pike books have so so ratings and Ive been told are good but have never tried them.
Ive bought and heard Forever Fae (Forever Fae, #1) by L.P. Dover Betrayals of Spring (Forever Fae, #2) by L.P. Dover Summer of Frost (Forever Fae, #3) by L.P. Dover Reign of Ice (Forever Fae, #4) by L.P. Dover is a great series also
The Faerie Guardian (Creepy Hollow, #1) by Rachel Morgan The Faerie Prince (Creepy Hollow, #2) by Rachel Morgan The Faerie War (Creepy Hollow, #3) by Rachel Morgan A Faerie's Secret (Creepy Hollow, #4) by Rachel Morgan are also supposed to be a great series but again havent read them.

I think finding a series thats just about Fae/Fairies is hard to find or they end up being too YA for me ...

I forgot all about The Shadow Reader (Shadow Reader, #1) by Sandy Williams The Shattered Dark (Shadow Reader, #2) by Sandy Williams The Sharpest Blade (Shadow Reader, #3) by Sandy Williams I have the first book on my Kindle Ill have to give it a go soon!

I LOVED Marrs, Wicked Lovely series one of my all time favorites also The Iron Fey books were great too.
I cant think of any other Fae series that dont focus just on Fae It would be nice to have some good selections out there.

YES! I'm all about the audios Laura. I can't even imagine going back to not having audiobooks. I can listen while I work, travel, commute, run errands, cook, do laundry, clean, everything! And now more and more books are coming to audio! Plus they save my eyes LOL! I also find that in most cases they enrich the book experience because they sort of bring the characters to life and when the narrators are good it's fantastic.

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments Agreed about the eyes part! My eyes have gotten so bad over the last few years from reading and reading in dim light and so on so yes audios are definitely an eye saver too!
Also a lot of Authors are now putting their books on audio now I see them often asking about Audios and how often used on their FaceBook Author pages.

Also agree about having an Amazing Narrator! They can make or break a book for me and Ive learned this the hard way Ive listened to some Amazing Narrators that can take me away with the story and then again Ive heard some that grated my nerves and made me quit listening. But all in all since I started listening to Audios on a regular basis I havent had but a few bad experiences!
