Ashlee | 309 comments Okay, so I need an audiobook at the moment because I've got heaps of running around to do and it's obviously easier to listen than read while you're out and about! I decided to give City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare a go - even though I wash't a huge fan of the other TMI book, I heard these ones are better and also this one is co-narrated by Ed Westwick who I loved in Clockwork Prince so…why not?

Biggest disappointment ever!! Not the story…well I'm only about four chapters in so, I don't know it might be…but the narration? Ed is amazing of course but the co-narrator?? URGH!! She has the squeakiest voice and doesn't change diction at all for different characters…Jace and Simon both sound like 8 year old girls when she's doing them….I really don't understand why they even need two narrators? It has completely ruined this book for me!

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments I'm listening to Bloodlines (Conversion, #2) by S.C. Stephens it's okay so far. Easy, light, and uncomplicated which is all I can handle with my crazy work days lately. Not been able to get much reading done these past couple of weeks but at least I'm getting some audios done so can't really complain :)

Oh that's really awful. I completely agree. A bad narrator can totally ruin a story. I had the most God awful audio experience EVER (or should I say nightmare) when I attempted to listen to the audiobook for one of my all time favorite books On the Island (On the Island, #1) by Tracey Garvis-Graves worst narration EVER! I actually returned it back and got a refund. That's how awful it was. It almost ruined the book for me. Of course I've already read the book like 4 times and I got so excited when I saw that the audio was now available but oh goodness no, just awful.

LOL! I'm kind of a freak at filtering which books I'd like to get to each month. Of course I shift a bit here and there depending on how I'm feeling on a particular day but mostly I juggle the order to keep the genres mixed enough so I don't get bored and usually read most of the ones I line up.

Hahaha! Yeah, for me too Nicole depending on what mood I'm in. But I usually have a good mix of different genres so that I can keep it nicely mixed and not get bored. I aim to get through the books I have prioritized but if I want to read one that's not in my "Read Now" shelf I just jump into it and that's that LOL!
