Lol good to see such enthusiasm for it. I'd first seen it at the library when searching Veronica Roth, and for some stupid inexplicable reason was put off by their names being so close, as if it was her fault they had similar names, like she deliberately was trying to show up in veronica roth searches, and therefore never read it. I have no idea why my thought process was so ridiculous haha. Glad to finally be getting to it.

I'm reading a few books at the same time, but the one in my hand at the moment is The Maze Runner by James Dashner. I watched the film before reading the book which I don't usually do, so in my head I'm constantly comparing the two as I read. I'm only 42 pages in and it is ok so far.

I had a hard time with the first half of Maze Runner. I got more into the series starting with the 2nd book. books vs. movies is so hard sometimes. I always read the book first, but I sometimes wonder if i'd be able to enjoy the movies more if I saw them first since i'm fairly sure the book will always be better.

I'm working my way through Dashner's Mortality Doctrine series now. On a super long waitlist for The Rule of Thoughts (The Mortality Doctrine, #2) by James Dashner

My son and I started this last week. I'm 2 chapters in he's 3. It's just ok for me so far. I am interested to see what happens, though.

Same for me Bridget, this past few days have been really rough so got very little reading done. My daughter had to be hospitalized with a viral infection on Friday morning and only got released this morning. Thank goodness she's better now but that was utterly scary as heck. I'm happy you loved Cress! I need to start reading the Calloway Sisters series. Soon, soon.

Finished The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver . It was good but the ending wasn't believable to me.
Next up either Positively Beautiful by Wendy Mills or Burning Kingdoms (Internment Chronicles, #2) by Lauren DeStefano . Still trying to work my way through Mayhem (Mayhem, #1) by Jamie Shaw , as well.

Maybe it's just me, but I swear all of these series everyone says are Twilight knock-offs seem NOTHING like it to me! This series seemed nothing like Twilight and was so completely unique that it was really refreshing IMO. I'm the same as you, I'd read something even if it did remind me of Twilight since I loved that series, but I highly recommend this just because it's a great plot and has unforgettable characters.

I really liked the first book, but this one drove me BATTY! I couldn't stand the way it was so repetitive and just the never-ending cycle of her flipping the pages of time trying to figure out why she loved him. I mean, if it was true love she shouldn't have taken THAT long to convince, ya know??!

So Untamed 3 Escaped Artist by Victoria Green , Untamed 5 Rebel Roused by Victoria Green , and Untamed 4 Wild at Heart by Jinsey Reese were like a train wreck I couldn't take my eyes off of and not in a good way. The heroine drove me absolutely batty with her complete lack of spine, the storyline got all kinds of unbelievable and convoluted, and honestly the only real relationship between these two characters was a great sex life. I don't appear to be in the majority with that opinion, but I feel like I totally wasted three days of reading! Ugh.

So, it's on to Sea of Stars (Kricket, #2) by Amy A. Bartol which I'm so excited about but hoping doesn't turn into a 5-way love story like the Premonition series, and Picture Perfect (Limelight, #2) by Elisabeth Grace for review.
