I love quick reads. Usually means I liked them a lot and couldn't stop reading. Or that it was a short book ;)

Yup Tracy there are just too many good books to get to. I did a major overhaul to my tbr shelves. I needed to weed through all the books that were in my ginormous tbr and only keep the books that still hold reading interest for me. Hopefully this will help me get them read sooner.

Rebellion (Extraction, #2) by Stephanie Diaz the similarities of this book to Divergent are ANNOYING! It resembles a few other books, as well (which I talked about in my review of the first book). I'm just annoyed! Why use someone else's ideas???

Right? It started out with great potential, so I overlooked the similarities. And then I got to about page 100 and I just want to throw this. But I'm almost 3/4 of the way through, so I'll just finish it out. The publicist sent it to me, so I will finish and review. She probably won't like what i have to say. i was surprised she contacted me at all, given my review of the first book wasn't so great!

Ah, good point. Well, I don't like to bash authors. What's the point? They write how they write and perhaps my review could possibly help help the author do bette next time, look at how things might come together better? I can only hope that.

That's what I'm thinking Brooke. If I wrote a book I would want someone to review it that would be blunt and honest. Friends and family say they would be honest but more times than not they don't. Kind of like how your family will let you go on American Idol and you can carry a tune. I really haven't figured that out either. Why would you let someone you love make a fool of themselves but it happens.

Her books are very good Teresa. I loved her Highlander series a lot. I read those first before her Fever series and it helped me appreciate KMM's writing style and some of her Fae world building plus one of the characters migrates between both series. I hope you end up enjoying Darkfever. The series is fantastic.
