It's so very good. I didn't cry. I teared up a few times, but I never actually cried. I rarely cry at books. You might need therapy. Depends on how thick your skin is!

Erin, it wasn't as bad as the Adam/Warner debacle. I still love both characters. One just wasn't introduced until the second book. And when he was, i switched teams. The first is still an upstanding character and he is still fighting for Evie. I just dont want him to win;)

I didn't cry when I read the book but I did get that huge lump in my throat. However, I watched it yesterday and balled.

I didn't think it was the same either. Death's story wasn't known until book 2 and Evie didn't even know any of it.

Okay, that's good. I honestly struggled with Jack for awhile anyway, but ended up liking him in the end. So it wasn't much like Adam for me, because I adored him from the very start and was pulling for him big time, whereas I could take or leave Jack.

Read this one what feels like forever ago! Never got the second one because the library only had audio versions. I need to just cave and try an audio book at some point. I'm scared it'll ruin a book i'd otherwise love - which is probably stupid. I don' thave a commute though since I work at home, so haven't had much need for audio. Once you get on to book 2 let me know how it is! Maybe i'll cave and buy or go for the audio

I finished an ARC of Manwhore (Manwhore, #1) by Katy Evans , which was really sexy and I liked it but between my contemp romance rut and re-reading (and watching) Fifty Shades last month, it was a bit too much of the same old same old for me. Still a good one to add to the TBR, though. I'm also reading Power and Possession (Reckless, #1) by C.C. Gibbs for review, and seeing as how it's a similar concept (filthy rich and cocky womanizer), it's not wowing me. I have to say, it IS different because the heroine is very feisty and sassy instead of being some awkward mousy thing, and the storyline has had some twists to give me something to work with. So I'm optimistic!

Finished Matefinder (Matefinder #1) by Leia Stone and I liked this one, too. It was pretty much a werewolf version of Significance (Significance, #1) by Shelly Crane , but with the emotions more subdued. I'm probably at a disadvantage there, because I loved how strongly Maggie and Caleb felt for each other even though it was an instant connection situation. I still enjoyed Matefinder (thank you, Danielle!!), and it inspired me to re-read Significance today! lol

Kelly Elise | 188 comments Well I finally finished The Girl in the Steel Corset (Steampunk Chronicles, #1) by Kady Cross . Not a fan. Think I'll pass on the sequel, at least for now.

On about 10 waitlists for more YA, so in the meantime... i'm diving into My Drunk Kitchen A Guide to Eating, Drinking, and Going with Your Gut by Hannah Hart .

Edit: LOL and ironically she references YA like a chapter in: "And by 'adult' I mean someone who isn't drunk. It can be your kid sister too. She seems pretty responsible for a sixteen-year-old. I mean, she's always reading those YA books, so she must have learned a thing or two about life"
