Haven't read it yet. Had a look inside on Amazon and somehow the writing style didn't really work for me. Or is it just the first few pages and then it's easier to get into it?

Gah, it's such torture not telling you what happens in the second one, but let me just say I had the same feeling you do right now about T but she literally keeps you guessing and going back and forth even through the second book! WHat is your theory on 'Him'? You MUST go on to episode 2 so we can discuss, I'm dying to bounce ideas off of someone here. lol I think I get the third one this week so I'm counting down!

Well, I mean everyone has a style that doesn't work for them and I can't say for SURE that's not the case for you here. All I can say is this was a great story with (as Danielle mentioned) a feel to it like Bully (Fall Away, #1) by Penelope Douglas , so I loved it. You should definitely give it a go!

Thanks Erin for your take on the review, I respect your opinion and I get what you're saying. I'm glad to hear that the author is a sweet person. I hate reading when bloggers/reviewers get attacked for their opinions. I guess when I read Laura's review I took it a little differently because I agreed with some things she pointed out. She did say she liked her previous book:)

I love both Penelope's too! So far Gemini is great. It's Jake's older sisters story. If my child was autistic and someone said things like the reviewer did, I'd have a hard time not saying something too. If she had complained simply over a bad review that's different but there was more to it this time.

Hey Heather, I'm a fan of both Penelope's as well. If we're referring to the same reviewer I don't think she said anything bad about the author's child. She said "I'm aware the author has an autistic child and I applauded her for raising awareness of it in Gemini but considering all three couples from each book are connected somehow it again seemed a bit 'convenient' that there was another autistic child and it was similar to Gemini how said child responded so well to the heroine. "

My only point in bringing this up was that I don't agree when an author dislikes a review they receive and points it out for others to attack. Sometimes we don't like or agree with each other but it's a difference of opinions that makes life interesting:)

Yeah, it was just a flippant remark about her having autistic kids in her stories, but I mean, come on...that's not something that needs pointed out. There are tactful ways of saying you don't like a story, and for the VERY few times that I really nit-picked it was because the books were suffering from truly obnoxious and unlikable characters and poor editing. You just don't need to bring up personal references or bash a book that is clearly well-written but just isn't your thing, ya know?

Oh good lord, Her Fallen Protector (Entangled Covet) by Nichole Severn is so not keeping my interest. Been there, done that plot, annoyingly clueless heroine, and a frustrating leading hottie who just keeps promising to protect her while refusing to tell her what's going on. I'm only 40% in a 200 page book and I feel like I've read for hours! I swear I've got to stop agreeing to review these entangled stories that have no reviews yet, especially when the author only has 3 star reviews for their other books. =/
