Yeah, exactly! That was the problem. But point is that the book didn't claim to be serious or deep. So, why everyone went crazy I have no idea. Even America didn't annoy me as much as I expected, I found her running commentary hilarious.

I'm not sure if I want to read the second book. Everyone says it's more serious and developed. But I feel like it has no base or enough world building to do either of those things. I'm gonna end up being disappointed. But cover is so red and pretty!!!

Ugh, I know! Oh, Belkis, Pivot Point was excellent, I loved it. I think it was first triangle I didn't hate!! and the second book comes out next week, so you want have to wait. But I wouldn't bother with Defiance, it's just not good!

Yeah, I disliked Seth from the beginning and not because he was Aiden's opponent. pfft, there is no such a thing, Aiden is one and only! But I didn't care for him as a character. I wouldn't mind a novella to reassure us that they won the war, but I think the series ended in a good place. I don't think she should continue the series.

I think there is so much more there to work with. She could totally continue the series with the rebuilding efforts and people resisting or challenging, there is so much to work with.

Yeah, but the series' main focus was the character development and the romance. With that aspect of the series resolved, it would be odd and unbalanced to continue the series with the only focus on the war and the country. There could still be some romance, but nothing new.

That's true, but look at Cat and. Bones, they have the same relationship with lots of bumps through the series, I am getting to book 5 soon, so it could be the. Focus of the emotions and developing Juliette more into a leader even more...idk I want more.

I finished and I freaking LOVED it! Warner, you have my heart! I know everyone wants more, and I did too but I don't want another book. It ended the way it should and were there another book it may ruin my love for it like another book I haven't gotten over!...cough..."Bronze Horseman series"...I feel I had closure and they will prevail, that is enough.

I too can recommend Pivot Point. I'm really looking forward to reading the second book (and last in the series) Split Second which is out in a couple of days.

There was so much drama and hate and low ratings on the book because the Author and her editer I believe was "behaving badly" as in there were tweets about how us Goodreads readers and reviewers are idiots and so on,so it got a lot of DNF and 1 star ratings before and when it released. I myself started it but didnt get past 3 chapters. I just got it o Audio so im giving it a go again.

I read 300 books last year. "Making Faces" was by far and away the very best. I sent an email to the author praising her to the heavens and she sent me an autographed copy. I was so honored. Read it - you will read it again and again, and remember it forever.
