I think maybe I should give this series another shot. I listened to the first one on audio and the narrator made the characters all sound extremely whiny. I think maybe if I went back and read it, I would like it. It's been a while, so I've forgotten a lot.

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments The 4th book that has yet to be named is supposed to release later this year,She posted that not long after DoW released that it was going to be released asap and that she had most of it written already as she was writing it while writting DoW. So I guess we shall see but I never saw anything about six books.

I dont think she can drag it out much longer the "Major Cards" are all together now and somethings gotta happen sooner or the story is going to end up being one of them meh ..."well it started good but" and I just dont see Kresley doing that to her fans.

I keep saying the same thing Bridget. I'm dying for Nix to get her book too. Oh awesome thanks Laura!

I just saw the six books thing in an interview I found on Google yest - I typed in 'how many books will be in the arcana chronicles' and it came up with this interview from just after the EK release where Cole said ideally she'd love six books + novellas and would like us to get to know all 22 cards

I think there's still a helluva lot to work with...I can't see it wrapping up in only one more book....I also think the end of book 3 was a red herring but don't wanna say too much else cause I know lots of people haven't read it yet

My bad, it was the interviewer who mentioned the 22 cards, Cole just said 'most of the major arcana'
I can't past the link from my iPad sorry but it's easy to find on google

I think there's a lot more than that: what's the deal with Matthew? Evie's Grandma, The priestess, The emperor, I think we also need to meet the Sun seeing as though this game is supposedly for him/her, they have to somehow stop the game and save the world...there's no way all that's happening in one book...not when you consider the third book was pretty much getting to know one card and Evie trying to decide between two guys

Ashlee | 309 comments Speaking of audiobooks, if anyone is interested in historical mysteries I strongly suggest the audios of Her Royal Spyness (Her Royal Spyness Mysteries, #1) by Rhys Bowen - they are absolutely sensational! The mysteries are solid, but the stories are also quite humourous and the narrator is by far the best one I've come across

message 14835: by Laura (last edited Jan 24, 2015 10:33PM) (new)

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments The link is posted to the interview on her Author page

http://shelf-life.ew.com/2013/10/25/k...

what was asked
Q: There are 22 tarot card characters to explore and dive deeper into in each book – how many more books are you planning in the series and can readers expect to get to know every card?

A: I have several stories already plotted. In a perfect world, I’d write six books, with side novellas to complement the main narrative. We’d get to know most of the Major Arcana

Hence she said "in a perfect world she would write 6 books... so Im going to guess shes not going to be doing 6 six books.

I finished Maybe Someday (Maybe, #1) by Colleen Hoover and WOW! So raw and honest. Love how this book actually made me reflect on my life with my youngest son who is non-verbal. We communicate through sign language and pure instinct alone. I know what he wants and what he's trying to say through his body language, facial expressions and by the connection we have because his little beating heart belongs to me <3

I have this on audiobook and tried listening while exercising. I supposedly listened to 3 chapters but missed huge chunks of story. I think this is one that I would have to read. For me, simple romances and chick-lit work as audiobooks but not this genre. It's probably because there is usually so much filler in many romances that if you miss something, you are not necessarily completely thrown out of the story.

I'm the opposite Mochaspresdo. I can't do romance but enjoy dystopian and mystery best on audio. I think it's because romance isn't my favorite and I can read faster than the narrator.
