Going to read Love and Decay, Episode Three Season Three (Love and Decay, A Novella Series Book 3) by Rachel Higginson and then jump into Insurgent (Divergent, #2) by Veronica Roth for the 52 week challenge. Yes I have had Insurgent since release day so it is long overdue.

I didn't care for it either. I had to read it in between others. The ending does get better but not enough for me to read the next one. If you really don't like DNFing a book then I would finish. I hate doing that as well.

I need to read book 2 for Deeper which I enjoyed last year Lauren Ann. Planning to read Harder later this month. I hope it's as good or better than book 1.

I've learned my lesson Azee when it comes to books that my gut tells me I won't enjoy, you know?? Those that get a lot of traffic from readers or over the top hype?? If I read the book blurb or synopsis to a particular book and it doesn't sound like something I'd enjoy then I've learned not to cave into reading them. Or if I start a book that doesn't appeal to me in any way after a third of the way in then I just let it go and set it aside without another thought. Now if the story has something to it, some kind of merit then I'll stick it out and continue reading it. But it has to give me something, anything, that will make it worth the time investment. There are just way too many books waiting to be read and many of them will turn out to be fantastic so it's a real shame to put that time and effort into an unsatisfactory book. I've learned my lesson.

Yep Tracy I tortured myself for years over finishing books that did nothing for me and even ones that were down right terrible LOL! But as of about 2 years back, I've stopped torturing myself because I literally have hundreds of books waiting around to be read and heard (audios) to be wasting perfectly good time and effort on a bad one when the next great one could be patiently sitting in the pile awaiting it's turn LOL! Ahh.. Hell NO! Hahahaha!

But the book's blurb does interest me. Since it got such a hype I thought there must be something that I'm missing so I keep on reading even when I don't want to. But I guess there's a limit to the chance you give. So I'll just put this book off for some other time, maybe or not.
Thanks for the advice, btw! :)

It was okay. I like the romance between the characters. Reminded me of a Beauty and the Beast type of relationship. The only thing that bothered me was the unnecessary overload of information that didn't really seem to fit the story. Made me sleepy lol. Otherwise I enjoyed it.

For the most part I can read and be OK with just about any book. Most of the time I find I'm not enjoying it because I'm not in the mood for it but can pick it back up later and be fine. And in other cases I find if I stick with it I enjoy it in the end. Then there are times that the first book didn't suit me well but the ones after that we great. I have to way my odds. I do know exactly what you mean though. There are so many great stories out there to be read.

I literally flew through Play (Stage Dive, #2) by Kylie Scott today, good lord I loved EVERYTHING about it! We get more of David and Ev, and holy hell Mal may be a top five book BF for me. He and Anne are one of the cutest, funniest, sexiest, and most perfectly-matched couples I've come across in awhile, I just adored their story!
