I need to get back to The Starcrossed trilogy too Kate. I read book 1 and I enjoyed it but haven't gotten back to it.

message 13660: by Ashlee (new)

Ashlee | 309 comments Hey all! I've started reading Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series, which I was a bit hesitant of because I've previously found some adult PNR to be a bit cliche with dull characters, and also cause I'd heard IAD is bordering on erotica, which I'm not a huge fan of cause it's so often poorly written...but anyway, after reading Cole's Arcana Chronicles I figured that surely the same writer would write just as well over both age groups, so I gave IAD a go...

So far I'm really enjoying these books - the world building is fantastic and the plots are intriguing...I also like how each book is connected yet also a standalone story

Anyway, just thought I'd make mention for anyone who may have had the same reservations I did

120+ pages into All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven and I'm really loving it. I also started Unmade (Entangled, #2) by Amy Rose Capetta . I have forgotten a lot of what happened in the first one, though, so it's hard to get into it.

WooHoo!!! Yay Ash!! I'm so happy you're enjoying IAD. It's my absolute favorite PNR EVER! So intelligently written and funny and love that the female MCs are so kickass :) Can't wait for the next one to come out. Love love Kresley Cole!

And on a side note, OMG OMG tomorrow is the release of Dead of Winter (The Arcana Chronicles, #3) by Kresley Cole SO excited!!!

I don't listen to audiobooks much, but I was wondering - does this one have one narrator or two?

Nitzan Schwarz (nitzanafterwords) I'm currently reading (and almost finished) Love Regifted by Stephanie Haddad . Yes Nitzan it's awesome. The audio is great. I was skeptical about audiobooks at first too. But now I'm totally hooked LOL! This one has 3 narrators and they're all really good. Same as the first book. I've gound tgst some books are much better as audiobooks. The narration brings accents, entonations, emotional nuances, and even background music ;) love them. Totally addicted to them hahaha. You should give them a try at least.

Three narrators? That sounds awesome.
I HAVE tried audiobooks. I listen to them sometimes too, if it's for books I've already read, like Percy Jackson. I just tend to drift from the book when listening, unlike reading, so I miss stuff. Not to mention, some of the audiobooks I sampled sounded SO bad lol
