It's funny Tracy, I actually tried once to see if it were possible to read a book and listen to an audio book at the same time. Haha, didn't work out. Something only a true book addict would ever think of doing.

message 13215: by Eboni (new)

Eboni (nicolenking) | 79 comments I finally finished The First Days (As the World Dies, #1) by Rhiannon Frater . Ugh! What started off as a promising book has ended up being a cringing mess. This could have been so much more, but the annoyance I felt with the characters and the overuse of what they were feeling grated on my nerves. I wanted to say "WE GET IT! JENNI IS JEALOUS OF ANYBODY THAT COMES CLOSE TO KATIE!" I also found the story line to be a bit hypocritical. It was ok to outright kill any stranger that was bitten. But when it came to someone they knew, they got to spend as much time with them as possible. And from the reviews to the second installment, it doesn't seem this series get much better.

I liked it too. It was well written and unique, but it was definitely on the slower side. I've never tried an audio book, I'm sort of curious about the difference. I think for slower paced books sometimes you have to be in the right frame of mind to read it. At least that's how it is for me.

But over the past two days I started and finished Clarity (Clarity, #2) by Loretta Lost and Clarity 3 (Clarity, #3) by Loretta Lost . Loved both of those books. Breath-taking, emotional, original. Book one Clarity (Clarity, #1) by Loretta Lost I already finished a few months back.

Now starting the spin-off End of Eternity by Loretta Lost . Can't wait.

Donna | 1350 comments I'm a little unsure what to read. Just finished Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning which took forever even though it was awesome. Ended a little too perfectly but still... It was Barrons. 'Nuf said. Also finally finished Own the Wind (Chaos, #1) by Kristen Ashley , which as much as I love KA, was not my cup of tea. Also finished All the Stars Look Down by Elizabeth Hunter (the part from EH) & it was good. SO, I may start This Shattered World (Starbound, #2) by Amie Kaufman which I just got or nothing until the 29th when something I've been waiting on comes out. I can't remember what it is but its been preordered so I'm excited. It's a surprise belated Christmas present. (Don't laugh at me. I'm lucky I can remember to put on deodorant!)
