I am not a Shiver fan either and have only read one of them, but the Raven boys is nothing like Shiver, I have loved this series, it is very different and good.. I also loved her book The Scorpio Races, it was drew me in to her writing and made me pick up the Raven Boys. Don't compare to Shiver and I think you will enjoy them :)

You should try them again, they are really good.

Victoria | 259 comments I just finished Puddle Jumping by Amber L. Johnson and I loved it. It hit very close to home for me and was very well written, although I thought that Lilly was a bit too wrapped up in Colton and nothing else, but it was supposed to be their story so that may have been intentional. anyway, glad I read it, and now I am about 2/3 done with Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater and I am loving it, this series really has me hooked.

The romance is still there, but it's almost like there's a rift between them. It's annoying. And, yes, it's dragging a bit for me.

Well Donna, if you like Dani then it's good. I enjoyed it but not as much as M&B. The next one she is coming out with is Dani's as well, I believe, but supposed to have more M&B in it.

With mine and my daughters' birthdays (not to mention all the Christmas shopping), I haven't been able to squeeze in much reading time. I have started Four Days (Seven #4) by Dannika Dark though, and it's pretty good so far. Hoping to get some books out of the way with my time off coming up!

It's good Donna. Not as good as Barrons & Mac's because Dani is still very young but Moning is building her story so she'll grow into it and I think that it'll turn into another fantastic story. I still enjoyed Iced though. It's very well written and all of the hot men creatures in it have their stories continuing from the Fever previous books. Worthy read.

I haven't read The Mercy Wolves series either Ash, it never called my interest. I fell in love with Maggie Stiefvater after reading The Scorpio Races and then with The Raven Boys and I'm really loving this one. The writing is beautiful. I hope you enjoy. Thank you, Belkis:) As much as I hate to add another year to my age, it was a pretty good bday. The hubby surprised me with new shoes (my fav thing to get besides new books) and I got a girls day shopping trip (where i did get new books). Usually, I don't get a whole lot of birthday recognition with it being only 8 days before Christmas and my oldest daughter having her birthday the very next day.

So awful Donna :'( poor Tenzin. It was great to get her story so we can understand her character better.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments Soooooo I finished Midnight's Daughter (Dorina Basarab, #1) by Karen Chance at 4 am last night. So good. But I'm a little miffed there was no great grand scene between Dory and Louis Caesar like he just randomly up and left that was such a bummer. Also what's up with books having French vamps with dashed names? Lol Anita has Jean Claude, this one has Louis Caesar lol. It's just a handful to type.
