. I am really in the mood for a regency romance. I LOVED the first book in the series. I have started this like for 20 pages twice but wasn't in the mood then.

I'm going to get the DVD because I will want to watch later. The movie stayed pretty true to the book. Of course they embellished but it is Hollywood.

I know the feeling. Sometimes I will get in a slump and nothing I pick up interests me but when you find that one that does it makes everything better.

Well, the first book had a lot to do with discovering the secrets behind Talon and St. George. I am sure they will discover more as they go. My problem with Blood of Eden was I just didnt give a damn about any of the characters. Zeke was the biggest disappointment. But all the characters in Talon were awesome. Especially Ember and Riley.

I needed that in the first book. Otherwise it was just all fluff for me. And the MC went against everything she was ever taught without a second thought. I do like Riley, a lot. But I did not connect with Ember at all. I was really disappointed. I read the first chapter a while back and it sucked me right in. So when I got the ARC I was super excited. But it just didn't live up to my expectations. To each his own, for sure :)

I didn't find it satisfying at all. As a matter of fact, you could have taken out the "dragon" part and had the same story, IMO. I didn't feel like there was ENOUGH dragon. No background at all. It was super frustrating for me. But maybe you'll like it better?

Oh, yeah, The Iron Fey is by far my favourite series by her. So if that one is not for you I cant see how you would like the other two. The Iron Fey and Talon are more similar than the Blood of Eden, so if you do decide to try one that would be your safest bet. Its darker and has less romance. More vampirey.
