I was a little disappointed that the biggest part of the story didn't start until the end of Divergent, but I get why she did it.

It's one of my favorites Belkis. Brilliantly written with amazing characters and heart stopping story. Yes it is about physical abuse and it's really dark and heavy. I spend the entire book in terror and pain, I think I ended up being more abused than Emma. This is a story that makes you scream "why?" to every known or unknown Deity to humankind, until you realize evil doesn't need a reason to do evil. But all the pain and tears are worth it. Even under all the darkness love and friendship blossoms and to see it, it's just beautiful. If you do read have a bottle of vodka at hand. Believe me you will need all the help you can get.

Loved this book, I have had the sequel ready to go on my counter for months and I just can't seem to get to it. I need a re-read to remember the characters at this point, it's been eons since I read the first one. LOL Glad you're enjoying it!

I just finished reading Shatter Me recently and am hoping this one is as good. Even though he was evil and all, I think a teensy part of me is wondering how things would turn out if Juliette ends up with Warner. I'm kind of hoping that he turns out to be not so bad underneath it all.

I read this one in 2012 but haven't read the second one. I really did enjoy it and it left on a cliffhanger so I'm not real sure why I haven't read it.

Yes AoA is one of the trilogies I plan on reading this year and part of my list on our series YC. I've heard lots of great things about it so hoping I love it.

I'm not reading it. I have a friend who's gonna relay spoilers. If Warner and Juliette end up together, there's no point in me reading it. I was torn at one point between them, but everyone knows from the get-go I was team Adam and that's not changing. No sense in pissing myself off by reading it if he's not gonna get an HEA. So I'll spend my money on other books.

Ok, I've decided I'm going to be very sparse on goodreads for the next couple days or until I finish . I can't start until tonight because of something as ridiculous as work!! I mean, come on! You would think I would be able to take of for something this important!! Dang it. Well anyway, I'm steering clear of status updates & most threads because the last thing I want to see is an accidental spoiler. For example, if I see Annie raving on how wonderful it ended, I will know she ended up with Adam. Or vice versa if she's pissed and cussing up a storm. (sorry to use you as an example, Annie. You know I love you!!) so to sum it up, I'm going to be indisposed and immersed in this to the bitter end. God, I hope it's a great ending:)
