I have had the first one in my TBR forever Veronica. I am guessing it's pretty good? Maybe I should bump it up."

I love the series so much. I never sit through the night reading a book unless it was super exciting. The same book can speak differently to various people and for me this series spoke volumes. I also admit it had some plot holes and some loose ends. Yet I love it. You should read it.

I saw that The Homecoming Masquerade has some mixed reviews Veronica. Looks like it's one of those books that you either love or hate.

Is this one of those books that should go on NY Erin shelf Erin?

Isn't that how all books are? You love it or hate it. Sometimes you don't know how you feel so you rate it between its OK and liked it. That's why I don't always read reviews. I see the blurb and then if I feel like I it, I read the book. So long as the rating does not fall below 3. 5, I don't mind mixed reviews.

I suggest Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1) by Stephanie Perkins happy book so you can try to get over allegiant. If you have not read Silver Shadows (Bloodlines, #5) by Richelle Mead you could read it. Or any Percy Jackson books.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'd love to read the Bloodlines series but haven't even started Vampire Academy yet, maybe that should be my next read. Going to read You're the One That I Want by Giovanna Fletcher first though I think

Probably about a year and a half ago I was complaining to all that would listen how I could not get into any contemporary. That it just wasn't my thing. But I really think it's b/c I wasn't reading the right authors. Now I know if I read an author and then look at other books people liked by other authors, I win!

Don't know if I have said this or not but I am listening to Made for You by Melissa Marr by Melissa Marr and it is really really good. I loved her Wicked Lovely series but I do understand that there are a lot of mixed reviews about that series but Made For You is nothing like those books. It's totally different and I can't stop listening to it. So...that being said if you read Wicked Lovely and didn't care for it don't let that stop you from reading Made for you because it is awesome so far.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments I just finished book 12 Incubus Dreams (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #12) by Laurell K. Hamilton of Anita Blake. I am just binging I can't seem to get out of the world and I'm still not sick of it yet so I keep on reading. I'm actually surprised I haven't felt the need to bail yet. Idk what it is. Book 12 had a lot of negative reviews on amazon, but I certainly did not feel the way those people did and I've been reading the books b2b with only one book between them.
