I need to finish this series. I have read Raven Boys and really enjoyed it. There are just to many books to read!

I haven't even started it for this very reason. I hear great things, but I just can't bring myself to have to wait!

i am not liking it so far and i have taken a lot of effort to come to two thirds of the book. i am normally game for any genre. but this one turns out to be like a regency romance and i got no prior warning about it. my expectations before starting the book were high. now i have to lower them. hell!, i will have to complete it and sadly i will have to double my efforts.

Ahh crap! So I'll need to make my peace with the fact that Blue Lily is going to end on a cliffie :( sigh... hate it when they do that. Thanks for the heads up Tasha, now I can try and be prepared somewhat for the eventuality.

Belkis (bminaya) | 8313 comments Tracy wrote: "Well Brooke I think I will wait for it to come out to finish. I'm so impatient and would rather not wait."

Yup Tracy, you'll probably be better off waiting until all of the books come out before jumping into the series. Unfortunately, I don't have that option anymore since I've started the series and gotten all sucked into it. You're better off reading any of the other series that you have waiting to be read that have all the books out already. That's the reason why I haven't started many series I want to read because I don't want to be waiting around for the next book to come out. I already have way too many of those going on as it is LOL!

I don't know what's wrong with me. It's like I just can't get in a good space. I might have to DNF Forbidden. I hate to do that since it's a blog tour book, but the tour is not for a while so better for me to know now, right?

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments I finished Tall, Dark & Lonely (Pyte/Sentinel, #1) by R.L. Mathewson I gave it 3 because it confused me by it's lack of explanations early on in the book and not letting us live their dates. Suddenly they are in a relationship and I'm all how did we get here. Going to book 10 in Anita Blake here soon. May read another book before that though not sure.

I'm actually going through my reads to see what stand alones I've read and making a shelf for them. I've come across a few.

Jailbait by Lesléa Newman Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts Waiting for June by Joyce Sweeney Freak Show by James St. James The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

Not sure. Forbidden is a bit historical, though I'm not really sure, but it's Mesopotamia, so I guess so. There Will Be Lies reads a bit contemporary but I know there's some kind of paranormal twist that makes it dark. When Joss Met Matt and NA contemporary romance. Suggestions on a genre you think might kick my butt out of funk?

I agree. Is it too much to ask for a good standalone? I love my series, but dang, sometimes I just want a standalone! I really hate cliffies and I loathe waiting on the next book in a series. I usually try to wait for all the books to be released before I start a series, but sometimes I start one without knowing.
