I feel the same about some of them. I tried reading Fifty Shades the other day, which I loved and even re-read back in the day, and I was shocked at how poorly written it was. I know a lot of people said that from the start, I guess I was just jaded by the plot. lol

So AatFK is not really a tear jerker. I was more referencing the writing style and how the story flows with that one. TFiOS is a tera jerker, although I didn't cry ugly tears with it, but certainly welled up. This book is on that level. I think this one is truly worth it. I am even contemplating getting myself a hard copy (I love the cover so much).

So Amazon sent me an email advising me of that and giving me the refund for my original purchase so that I could go and repurchase the new edition. Maybe that's what happened in this case for you with The Vincent Boys? It does have an updated edition?? But Amazon would've sent you an email letting you know. Unless, like I explained you maybe bought it using a different email & log-in and maybe you missed the email??

^^^ This is exactly what happened. Thanks! I was also thrown off by the fact that the "you have already purchased this on..." banner didn't appear at the top like it normally does. It turned out to be a huge comedy of errors with that book. It was a self published book at the time of purchase and now it's being published by Simon and Schuster....I didn't own an actual kindle at the time and the ebook was sent to a smart phone that I don't even have any more...I never requested that the book be sent to other devices...when I purchased an actual kindle, I set up a new account for it under a different email address....years have gone by and I forgot.

Again. Thanks.
