It's sad, really. I think her writing so fast and so much at once it taking it's toll on the quality of her work.
I just finished book one of the Hex Hall trilogy by Rachel Hawkins, Hex Hall, and I'm almost finished with book two, Demonglass. I'm ordering book three, Spell Bound. I can't put it down! I really wish that it wasn't just a trilogy! Thank God for the spin-off series!

I enjoyed Hex Hall. the spin off, yeah, not so much...
Just finished Tempest Rising and it was awesome. i'm hoping that ill find a second book to this one because if not then there should be. Tempest shouldn't have left Kona in the first place, she should have gone back to say good-bye to her family and go back to her real "home".

I wasn't a fan of the MC. She just wasn't as strong as I would have liked her to be, although I think she was quite a bit younger. And it just didn't have as good a flow as the Hex Hall series. Doubtful I would read another one in the spin off.

She lives two towns over from me! She also writes under Kieran Scott. And one other pen name I can't remember. I want to read her Private series so badly! And Kasie West is also amazing! I loved the Pivot Point series, I wish it was more than two books. Have you read her YA contemporaries?

I've had the audio book, which I got super cheap ages ago, so I finally decided to give it a go for our Mod RC. It wasn't bad or anything like that. I just felt like it was somewhat similar to Twilight & Unearthly which I read and really liked so I felt kind of been there done that while listening to it. Then I really don't care for love triangles. Especially ones that feel forced. And lastly I couldn't connect with the main character. Didn't care for her really. But that's just me. It might be different for you. It's a popular series, so many readers have enjoyed it. I loved this author's writing in Under Different Stars

I think so, too. I was so impressed with how quickly she was turning out hits for awhile there, but she's just flooding the market with work now that's just not quite up to par with her first.
