Good, they have come out to the world, and because they have aggression or something they wear collars. They also live on the fringes of society and can't get the latest electronics, still have dial up and are not allowed cable. Kind of weird to say the least because I don't get why, but interesting.

Danielle (Danniegurl) (danniesreads) | 1326 comments Last night I started listening to Seventh Grave and No Body by Darynda Jones and it is hysterical within the first chapter. She's in the car with Reyes and Agent Carson, trying to convince her to change her name to Sack, she finally finds out her first name. And for those who haven't read book six (view spoiler) and this woman who does the audio books is hysterical as well with her voices. She also apparently can speak Dutch which is so cool.

The narrator you are listening to is Lorelei King and she is (in my opinion) the best one out there. She is the reason I tried this series. She does the Stephanie Plum series as well among many others.

Yea she does Reyes's voice and it's pretty funny, deeper but I'm definitely enjoying it. Too bad my son put a quarter in my CD player in the car otherwise I'd listen to it today, unfortunately I'll have to listen to it once he's in bed.

Finished Talon (Talon, #1) by Julie Kagawa and it was eh. There were a few plot holes and not enough world building. It was mostly angsty teen, which was annoying. I'm not sure if it will get a 2 or 3 from me. A huge disappointment seeing as how I loved her Blood of Eden series. Going to start Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1) by Robin LaFevers

I actually found Blood of Eden to be pretty disappointing, but have been holding up The Iron Fey as the paragon that every YA series has to strive to match since 2010. I wonder what I will think of Talon.

I didn't enjoy the Iron Fey that much. Maybe just not really my genre? I'm not sure. Julie's writing was good in that series, as it was in Blood of Eden. This one, nope. It was almost boring. And I swear to you, it sounded like Jennifer L. Armentrout writing it!

♥ Rebecca ♥ | 1653 comments Danielle wrote: "I haven't read Grave Mercy, how is it is it adult or YA? And how is it?"

It's YA and its a court intrigue more than fantasy or action. And more of a self discovery story than romance. Romance is very much an after thought.
